• VirtualBox unter Ubuntu installieren
  
  Ich glaub bei Ubuntu Feisty Fawn ist das Paket in den Universe Paketquellen enthalten, wenn nich kann man es per Automatix installieren oder das .deb Paket von der VirtualBox-Webseite herunterladen und dieses installieren. Ich habe hier bewußt VirtualBox und nich VMware-Server gewählt, da es hier einen erheblichen Performance-Unterschied gibt und VirtualBox da einfach besser abschneidet, zumindest bei mir unter Ubuntu.
• Virtuelle Festplatte für Windows XP in VirtualBox anlegen
  
  Hier habe ich eine Größe von 8 GB Festplattenspeicher gewählt, RAM 256 MB und die Netzwerkeinstellungen habe ich bei NAT belassen. Benannt habe ich die Platte WinXP (wird weiter unten noch gebraucht).
• Windows XP auf die virtuelle Festplatte installieren
  
  Das funktioniert genau wie bei jedem anderen Computer. CD rein und die virtuelle Maschine starten. Sollte es nicht gleich funktionieren, sollte man in den Einstellungen der virtuellen Festplatte überprüfen ob auch das richtige CD-Laufwerk ausgewählt ist. Die Netzwerkeinstellungen sollte man bei den Standardeinstellungen belassen (IP-Adresse automatisch beziehen und DNS ebenso).
• BlogDesk unter Windows installieren
  
  Sobald Windows installiert und gestartet ist, läd man sich BlogDesk herunter und installiert es.
• Einstellungen unter Windows
  
  Farbiefe von 16 auf 24 bit erhöhen

Man kann sich auch einen neuen Menüpunkt im Hauptmenü anlegen und diesen Befehl verwenden, dann braucht man nicht immer diesen langen Befehl in die Konsole eingeben.

Simply install with Wine 0.9.46.
When you launch any program, it will say that the program isn't installed for the current user.
Don't panic. Remove Wine ("sudo aptitude remove wine" for me).
Install Wine 0.9.37. Launch any program. It will work.
Now update your Wine version to 0.9.46, relaunch the programs, and....
Magic! It works.
Simply PowerPoint is slow, and I've not tested Excel very much, but it seems to work!!

For regular usage, it is recommended that you create a 'launcher' for each of the various Office applications and add these to the Applications menu. This will allow you to start a Microsoft Office application in the same way as any other application. To do this, click Applications -> Accessories -> Alacarte Menu Editor to start the menu editor. Select the Office category and then click File -> New Entry. Fill out the Entry Editor window appropriately for the Office application you are adding to the menu. For example:

Name: Microsoft Word

Comment: Type and edit text documents such as letters and reports

Command: wine "c:\program files\microsoft office\office\winword.exe"

Once completed, press the OK button. Add any other installed Microsoft Office applications you may want to access and then close the menu editor. Click Applications -> Office and try to start the applications you just added. If you entered the 'Command' correctly for the applications in the menu editor, the applications will start and can be used normally.
