ScribeFire ist ein umfangreiches PlugIn für den Firefox. Damit findet es auf allen Plattformen seinen Platz, auf denen auch Firefox zu Hause ist.

Das PlugIn teilt das Firefox-Fenster und blendet einen WYSIWYG-Editor ein, mit dem auch mehrere Weblogs befüllt werden können. Allerdings: Scribefire hat so seine Probleme und kleinen Macken, man sollte die Firefox-Erweiterung also erst testen, bevor man sich entscheidet.

Real hat in seinen neuen Player eine Download-Funktion für alle Flashvideos eingebaut egal ob sie auf YouTube oder auf diesem Blog eingebunden sind und egal welche Flashplayer sie verweden. Der RealPlayer installiert ein Plugin im Browser, das über jedem Video einen Download-Button anzeigt

Neben dem RealPlayer kann auch der neue VeohTV Client Videos herunterladen. Allerdings können Flashvideos nur von YouTube und wenigen anderen geladen werden, ansonsten sucht der Client nach RSS-Feeds mit Videos in den Enclosures, so kann man dann auch die toptrnd Show herunterladen
