    Ebenfalls eine Firefox-Erweiterung ist “JustBlogIt”. Dabei handelt es sich allerdings nicht um einen Editor, sondern um eine Erweiterung des Menüs der rechten Maustaste. Hier kommt ein neuer Eintrag hinzu, der das schnelle Übermitteln der momentanen URL und markierten Textes in vorher spezifizierte Weblogs zulässt. Dies erspart Kopierarbeit beim schnellen Bloggen.

Mehr Seitenaufrufe/Besucher in Blogs erreichen — Software Guide

  • Blätter-Navigation auf der Startseite: Auf der Blog-Startseite, die typischerweise z.B. die letzten 10 Beiträge zeigt, sollte sich eine Navigation zum Weiterblättern befinden. Besser als die oftmals verwendete Navigation “« vorherige Beiträge | weitere Beiträge »” ist jedoch, dem Leser eine einfachere Navigation zu bieten, die im auch anzeigt, auf welcher Seite er sich gerade befindet:

  • Lande-Seite bzw. Hinweis für Suchmaschinen-Besucher einrichten: Besucher, die über Suchmaschinen auf das Blog kommen, finden oftmals nicht immer den gewünschten Inhalt und verschwinden dann wieder schnell. Für diese Fälle kann man nun Hinweise im oberen Teil der Webseite einblenden, die dem Suchmaschinen-Besucher ähnlich relevante Artikel anzeigen. Review: Weebly, The New Flexible Blogging Platform : The Blog Herald

  • Should you use Weebly? Depends on what your needs are. For someone like me I’ll stick with Wordpress for the time being but for say, my mom, Weebly would work perfect for her if she wants to take control of designing her Web Site to reflect what she wants. Weebly I’d say is aimed towards the casual internet users who want a no hassle Web Site and editor with free hosting. Although that’s not to say that more experienced people couldn’t use Weebly for a simple Web Site to post family updates or create an online presence for their business.

10 Reasons You Should Never Get a Job

  • Many employees believe getting a job is the safest and most secure way to support themselves.


    Morons.


    Social conditioning is amazing.  It’s so good it can even make people believe the exact opposite of the truth.


    Does putting yourself in a position where someone else can turn off all your income just by saying two words (”You’re fired”) sound like a safe and secure situation to you?  Does having only one income stream honestly sound more secure than having 10?

  • The idea that a job is the most secure way to generate income is just silly.  You can’t have security if you don’t have control, and employees have the least control of anyone.  If you’re an employee, then your real job title should be professional gambler.

Confessions of an A-List Blogger

  • While building traffic can be a challenge, maintaining traffic is much easier.  You basically just have to keep doing what you’ve been doing that got you there in the first place.  Soon it hits you that unless you do something really lame to screw it up
  • When I first started blogging, I loved the feedback.  The more, the better.  Then it got to be so much I grew to hate it.  Then I started loving it again.  Then I hated it again.  At various times I even modified my contact form to be more or less inviting, depending on how much feedback I wanted to get.  I learned that tweaking the contact form text in different ways could affect feedback volume by at least a factor of 5.

  • Weiter kommt man wahrscheinlich, wenn man,
    zumindest probehalber, den Weblogs konzediert, dass sie zu den wenigen Formen
    des Sprechens im Netz gehören, die überhaupt verstanden haben, was das Netz ist.
    Verstehen, was das Netz ist, heißt: verstehen, dass man im Netz ist, dass man
    nur ein Knoten, ein Link ist, kein Ziel, sondern eine Passage. Die meisten
    Seiten im Netz bemühen sich darum, ein Ziel zu sein, sie kämpfen darum, dass man
    sie findet und dann bei ihnen bleibt, sie wollen das Ende des Netzes sein und
    nicht bloß ein Dazwischen, der User soll kommen und nicht mehr weggehen. Der
    Weblogautor aber schickt die Leute gleich wieder fort, er weiß, dass er nicht
    mehr ist als ein Knoten unter Knoten, er sagt allen, die bei ihm vorbeikommen,
    dass sie gleich wieder weitergehen sollen, hierhin vielleicht oder dorthin, und
    wie wäre es mit diesem Link? Das macht sonst keiner freiwillig, wirklich nicht,
    das Fernsehen tut alles, um die Leute am Zappen zu hindern und jede Zeitung
    bemüht sich darum, die einzige Zeitung zu sein, eine Jugendbeilage muss her für
    die Jugend und ein Feuilleton und ein anständiger Sportteil und die beste
    Wetterinfografik und am besten gleich auch ein Leserclub, der Leserreisen
    veranstaltet und Leserdiskussionsforen. All das machen Weblogs nicht, im
    Gegenteil. Ihre Praxis besteht darin, den Lesern zu sagen, dass Texte löchrig
    sind, dass es keine abgeschlossenen Texte gibt, dass hinter den Texten andere
    lauern. Hier ist der Link, schau doch mal hin, wenn du zurückkommst, ist es
    okay, aber ich werde dich gleich wieder wegschicken.
