- When Timothy Green Beckley chose to publish "UFOs, Nazi Secret Weapons?" he realized he was taking a risk of no mean proportions. Beckley even carefully declares on the book's cover that this edition is not endorsed by himself, any known UFOlogists or conspiracy theorists, and most certainly not the Space Brothers.
- Why all this care and concern? After all, there has been much written already about the possibility that some UFOs were designed by Nazi scientists working feverishly against the clock as the eventual defeat of Germany in World War II came to be seen as more and more inevitable.
- Even renowned author and conspiracy theorist Jim Maars talks about the flying saucers on the drawing boards of Nazi weapons designers without so much as ruffling the feathers of everyday UFO believers in his recent book "The Rise of the Fourth Reich: The Secret Societies That Threaten To Take Over America."

Lavrov took pains to explain that the RIC was shaping up to be "a highly
promising format", given its "dialogue" on agriculture, health and business.

He
minimized the RIC's role in crafting any initiative on Afghanistan.

Lavrov
offered a lengthy explanation:
RIC is a group of countries that are
integrally needed to mobilize regional efforts. But they are not enough. All of
Afghanistan's neighbors are needed. The US, the main supplier of troops ... is
needed. Iran is needed. The Central Asian countries are needed.

RIC is a group that was not created for Afghan affairs at all, but for other
reasons ... Although India, Russia and China have an influence on how to
normalize the situation in Afghanistan, our efforts are not enough. The three
nations can and are willing to work with other major actors to develop a
collective strategy, meaning exactly collective.

Delhi faces
isolation

Not that the RIC format lacks a raison d'etre - as the pro-American elements in
the Indian strategic community and media constantly try to establish.

Its
relevance is acute, as three big countries with common concerns in the Asian
continent come together within an exclusive format to discuss shared interests
on the core issues of regional security - terrorism, religious extremism,
political separatism, etc - and coordinate their policies.

Without doubt, regional cooperation has become the leitmotif of international
politics within the new reality of a polycentric world.

World politics is
beginning to operate in a new coordinate system.

Regional formats so far remain
mostly in dialogue formats with relatively modest agendas, but all understand
that this format sets a certain standard of equal, cooperative relations.

Regionalization of global politics attends to various compulsions.

A need often
arises to find regional solutions to conflicts and crisis situations.

Again,
regionalization fills in where global mechanisms are either insufficient or are
lacking.

At other times, a safety net is simply required in case of any likely
"de-globalization" (as in Afghanistan) so that fragmentation is arrested.

Clearly, regional formats provide additional possibilities for the formation of
unifying agendas.

But, unlike Russia and China, which take to regional formats with zest, Indian
diplomacy generally holds back.

India's preponderant size in its region and its
problematic relationships with China and Pakistan partly account for its
reticence.

But the crisis building up in the Pakistan-Afghanistan region shows
up the inadequacies of India's "solo approach". Delhi's inability to partake of
regional initiatives on Afghanistan virtually isolates it in the region.

Evidently, its nationalist isolationism is reducing India to being a bystander
when momentous regional processes are unfolding.

There has been a systematic
attempt by influential sections of the Indian strategic community to deride or
downright rubbish and undermine India's involvement in regional processes -
such as the RIC - that exclude the US or towards which Washington remains
antithetical.

India has the maximum to lose in the absence of a regional initiative on the
settlement of the Afghan problem.

Delhi holds an archaic view of the Taliban.
While there is wide recognition in the region that the Taliban are an Afghan
political reality, Delhi stands apart.

The security establishment in Delhi sets
the pace for Indian diplomacy and in its vision, the Taliban are the progeny of
Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence and therefore India cannot countenance a
role for the Taliban in Afghanistan's power structure.

But then, the Afghan conflict is first and foremost a fratricidal strife, and
an enduring solution needs to be all-inclusive.

Besides, who are Indians to
prescribe what is good for the Afghan people? Delhi would have gained by
working together with like-minded countries that broadly share India's
misgivings about the ascendancy of radical forces in the region and yet accept
the inevitability of a broad-based pan-Afghan settlement.

Principal among such major regional countries would be China, Russia and Iran.

Now, these three countries are ahead of India in forging regional matrixes
within which they advance their national interests.

Russia and China work
together within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Russia also has an
alliance system in the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

Iran has
initiated its own trilateral format with Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Obama's Chinese takeaway

To be sure, Washington heaved a big sigh of relief that the RIC process failed
to mature.

The dreadful moment, from the US perspective, would be if and when
the RIC began bearing the fruits of regional activism.

Therefore, the RIC's
state of health has all along been of intense curiosity to Washington. The US
has been stalking the RIC - just as it is doing with regard to Tokyo's nascent
idea of an East Asian community.

As the president of the influential Japan
Foundation, Kazuo Ogoura, wrote last week, "It is intolerable [for Washington]
to see Asians considering their relations among each other in a form that
excludes the US."

Moscow will feel concerned. Lavrov candidly admitted to Russian journalists
accompanying him, "[The George W] Bush administration sinned by a lopsided
interpretation of collective efforts ... Obama has announced a different
philosophy - that of collective action, which calls for joint analysis,
decision-making and implementation rather than for all others to follow
Washington's decisions.

[But] so far inertia lingers at the implementers' level
in the US, who still follow the well-trodden track ...

This is a process which
will take time before the president's will is translated into the language of
practical actions by his subordinates ... a need for joint analysis is still
evident in Afghanistan."

The way some of these foreigners digress on American politics and our departments of government, sound more like they are talking about a monarchy or dictatorship; rather than a representative government - on 2009-11-05

The RIC's failure at Bangalore to work substantially on a regional initiative
regarding Afghanistan ensures that the US can now press ahead with its own
strategy of striking "grand bargains" individually with the three major
regional powers - Russia, China and India.

Conceivably, the "Chinese takeaway" will be a substantial outcome of US
President Barack Obama's forthcoming visit to Beijing.

The Pentagon press
release on the talks in Washington between US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates
and the visiting vice chairman of China's People's Liberation Army Central
Military Commission, General Xu Caihou, said the two sides "agreed on the need
to work together" on Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Pentagon press secretary Geoff Morrell said, "The takeaway is that there was
broad agreement on the importance of, and how to deal with, the situation in
Afghanistan and Pakistan, and the need to work together to create a more stable
and secure environment in both those places."

Writing in the New York Times newspaper last Friday, two influential American
voices - Mark Brzezinski, who served on the National Security Council in the
Bill Clinton administration,

and Mark Fung of Harvard University, who is an old
Beijing hand - argued that Obama must carry a purposive "China List" when he
travels Beijing.

They wrote:
Three overarching "deliverables" could be
identified that if implemented would significantly reshape the US-China
relationship and address serious challenges the two countries face together.

One, establish a formal mechanism among the leaders of the United States, China
and Pakistan. China is Pakistan's most important supporter both because of
their geographical proximity and China's perception of Pakistan as a
counterweight to India

The interests for the United States and China are consonant in Pakistan:
removing extremist fundamentalist activity, stabilizing the leadership and
encouraging economic growth ...

The United States should make it clear it does
not want to displace Beijing's influence in Islamabad, but a tripartite
approach would advance shared interests

... The Obama trip to Beijing provides
an opportunity to elevate the relationship to include constructive engagement
in concentric areas of shared interest - stabilizing Pakistan, advancing soft
power interests in Afghanistan, and cooperating on security matters and shared
challenges in East Asia.

The Afghan crisis is most certainly
prompting a shift in geopolitical templates.

What if the Chinese side has its
own "Obama List"? Beijing will be justified in asking: How could China possibly
cooperate in the security sphere with the US and the Western alliance in
Afghanistan when the West maintains a 20-year-old arms embargo on China?

As my readers know, I am a fan of economics and of history, as well as politics, a combination that forms some very interesting cycles to research, discuss and argue on. None is so interesting than the death of great nations, for here there is always the self destruction that comes before the final breakups and invasions. As they say: Rome did not fall to the barbarians, all they did was kick in the rotting gates.

It can be safely said, that the last time a great nation destroyed itself through its own hubris and economic folly was the early Soviet Union (though in the end the late Soviet Union still died by the economic hand).

Now we get the opportunity to watch the Americans do the exact same thing to themselves.

The most amazing thing of course, is that they are just repeating the failed mistakes of the past.

One would expect their fellow travelers in suicide, the British, to have spoken up by now, but unfortunately for the British, their education system is now even more of a joke than that of the Americans.

While taking a small breather from mouthing the never ending propaganda of recovery, never mind that every real indicator is pointing to death and destruction, the American Marxists have noticed that the French and Germans are out of recession and that Russia and Italy are heading out at a good clip themselves.

Of course these facts have been wrapped up into their mind boggling non stop chant of "recovery" and hope-change-zombification.

What is ignored, of course, is that we and the other three great nations all cut our taxes, cut our spending, made life easy for small business...in other words: the exact opposite of the Anglo-Sphere.

That brings us to Cap and Trade. Never in the history of humanity has a more idiotic plan been put forward and sold with bigger lies.

Energy is the key stone to any and every economy, be it man power, animal power, wood or coal or nuclear.

How else does one power industry that makes human life better (unless of course its making the bombs that end that human life, but that's a different topic).

Never in history, with the exception of the Japanese self imposed isolation in the 1600s, did a government actively force its people away from economic activity and industry.

Even the Soviets never created such idiocy.

The great famine of the late 1920s was caused by quite the opposite, as the Soviets collectivized farms to force peasants off of their land and into the big new factories.

So one must ask, are the powers that be in Washington and London degenerates or satanically evil?

Sergeant Yakov Pavlov received a simple order, "Not one step back." It was an order he intended to keep.

Very few battles in human history can compare to the epic proportions of carnage at Stalingrad.

Two ideological empires fought for survival in a hailstorm of blood and steel that lasted for months and marked a turning point in the course of WWII.

The grinding war of attrition begun in July of 1942.

Despite ferocious resistance, by September, German forces crawled their way to banks of Volga, leaving in Russian hands only pockets of resistance.

A four-story apartment block overlooking the "9th January Square", parallel to the river and occupied by Sergeant Yakov Pavlov, was one such pockets.

Sergeant Yakov Pavlov's platoon took possession of the building by violently driving out the German invaders but in the process there were casualties.

In fact, of the 30 man platoon, only 4 soldiers survived.

The lieutenant was dead, all senior sergeants were dead, and Pavlov was the highest ranking of four survivors.

There were also 10 Russian civilians who had been trapped in the basement by the fighting. They were still unable to escape as the apartment remained surrounded by German troops.

Pavlov was determined to follow the order "Not one step back" and the Russian soldiers proceeded to fortify their position.

A few days later reinforcement arrived, boosting their numbers to 25 soldiers and the 10 civilians.

They surrounded the building with barbwire and mines, breached walls to create channels of communications, barricaded doors and windows and installed machine guns, and indeed, never took a step back.

They managed to defend the building for two straight months, from 23 September until 25 November.

Pavlov and his men fought off countless attacks. Germans assaulted the building several times each day, trying to take it by infantry or armor.

But the Germans were at a disadvantage, they had to charge across the open space of "9th January Square." Pavlov's men met them each time with a deadly barrage of riffle and anti-tank fire, decimating the attackers.

They say that they had to use lulls in the fighting to run out and kick over the heaped piles of German corpses so they could not be used as cover for the next round of attackers.

The Germans lost more men trying to take this apartment block then they did when taking Paris. The house was marked as fortress on German maps.

Both the soldier and the civilians survived the two month siege and were finally ferried to safety by counter-attacking Russian troops.

Pavlov's House, as it is now known, was rebuilt and returned to its original purpose after the war. The east side of the building, the side facing the river, was rebuilt by original bricks collected after the battle.

It serves as a memorial of the resistance on a place where Hitler's war machine ground to a halt due to one man's determination to take "not one step back."

Residents living in and around the village of Pil-Egor in Russia's Komi Republic witnessed a fiery object or UFO come crashing to the ground on Saturday 17 in the evening.

The glow from the event was so strong it lit up the night sky as if it was day and the noise could be heard for hundreds of miles.

Now debate ‘rages’ within the offices of the local authorities as to what the object might have been. UFOs? A meteor? Or perhaps a rocket?

The local Chairman of the local civil protection office, Anotoly Nyukin, insists that no rockets could have landed in the area nor was it likely that it originated from a satellite.

The government has commenced questioning residents of a number of villages, as well as going around to schools to quiz pupils, as to what they remembered of the event so at to get clues.

Witnesses in Pil-Egor described the object or UFO as a glowing ball that flew over the town and then exploded on impact as it landed in a forest. Allegedly, the ground shook violently during the event.

The Komi Republic is a region of great mystery in general: Home to the incredible Manpupuner rock formation (see amazing photos below).

No one knows if these massive objects (There's a man leaning on one in the first photo) are natural, man-made or created by extraterrestrials and information about them is scarce.

Komi legend has it that ancient sky-spirits built them and used to gather in their shadows when they descended to earth.

The unusual ‘Halo Cloud’ or UFO seen above Moscow has created a real buzz. In a scramble to discount any paranormal or extraterrestrial explanation for the event it has been labelled a freak cloud or weather pattern.

I have received over a hundred emails from readers asking questions regarding the event and many of this publication’s readers work in various meteorological departments.

Some have insisted that this cannot be a cloud or an optical illusion. The fact is that mankind has been looking to skies for millennia and patterns this unusual and this clear are rarely seen.

While I do not think the object is UFO itself, I do suspect it is a UFO related event.

Scientists working for secret government departments studying UFOs or UAP’s, as they like to call them, have already acknowledged the existence of UFO vortex or star gate exits that appear over Earth from time to time.

These are exits/entrances to galactic highways (wormholes) that are used by alien craft to traverse the galaxy's massive distances and, most importantly, allow for faster than light travel.

I noted in an article I wrote earlier this year that such a vortex was tipped to move from Brazil to Russia.

I didn’t expect it to appear above that nation’s capital city. These vortexes tend to appear only in very remote locations and are generally semi-cloaked.

Perhaps this is a bold move by an extraterrestrial race to prepare for open contact and an end to the alien cover-up.

I myself have received information from insiders that aliens plan to reveal their presence (possibly via a major government) in the very near future.

Recently this was confirmed by the words of David Wilcock and other such researchers who had also been informed of such developments.

It is rather unrealistic to think that no other civilizations exist in our mind-bogglingly huge universe and its billions upon billions of galaxies and planets. It is also unlikely that nobody out there has the desire or ability to pop down and visit us.

Don’t be surprised if the future turns your perceived reality on its head.

A plan to replace the dollar with a world currency originated with Columbia University economics professor Robert Mundell, who won a Nobel Prize in economics in 1999 for creating the euro and is now widely regarded as "the father of the euro."

Mundell, currently an economic consultant to China, is the originator of the suggestion that the International Monetary Fund should utilize Special Drawing Rights, or SDRs, to replace the dollar as a new standard for holding foreign exchange reserves in international trade transactions.

SDRs are international reserve assets calculated by the IMF in a basket of major currencies allocated to the IMF's 185 member nation-states in relation to the capital.

The assets are largely in gold or widely accepted foreign currencies the members have on deposit with the IMF.

As far back as June 2008, Mundell was telling Reuters a major dollar crisis would come within five years, and China was discussing with him proposals to reform the global monetary system.

"There's no doubt about it that inside the Chinese government there's a lot of discussion going on," Mundell told Reuters. "I'm not sure how they're doing it, but I know they're going to get input from me."

In the interview, Mundell went so far as to speculate the Chinese-recommended solution would involve the IMF.

Aspiring to be the father of a global currency, Mundell has argued, "What you need to have is an International Monetary Fund that's going to take some of these excess dollars (such as held by China in foreign exchange reserves), put them into a substitution account inside the IMF or some other institution and then use that to create what is a new international currency."

Mundell stressed to Reuters that such a proposal would be "very acceptable" to China.

Optimum currency areas

Mundell has argued for decades the proposition that nation-state currencies, including the dollar, need to give way to a new official world currency.

According to Mundell, an "optimal currency area" is best defined by international free-trade areas and regional markets, not by nation-states such as the United States of America.

Mundell's argument was that nation-states are not optimal currency areas because nation-state borders are artificial constraints imposed on the globe to create ethnic or historical divisions that do not necessarily represent how international markets operate.

To understand the concept, Mundell cites former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volker's frequently quoted dictum, "A global economy needs a global currency."

"The benefits from a world currency would be enormous," Mundell argues on his website.

G20 votes to fund global currency

The G20 summit meeting in London last week, through the International Monetary Fund, took an important step to create a new global currency to replace the dollar as the world's foreign exchange reserve currency of choice.

Appearing on Sean Hannity's Fox News Channel television show, political consultant Dick Morris and Hannity agreed the decision by the G20 proved the "conspiracy theorists were right" and there is now clear evidence of a plan to create a one-world currency.

Point 19 of the final communiqué from the G20 summit in London April 2 specified, "We have agreed to support a general SDR which will inject $250 billion into the world economy and increase global liquidity," taking the first steps forward to implement China's proposal that Special Drawing Rights at the IMF should be created as a foreign exchange currency to replace the dollar.

"I think the dollar is now under question," billionaire investor and political activist George Soros told CNBC, commenting that the goal was to create an IMF currency to use in international trade.

Obama deficits frighten China

China is clearly worried its massive holdings of U.S. dollars are at risk of devaluation, with the Obama administration projecting trillion-dollar deficits into the foreseeable future.

At the beginning of this year, China's holdings of U.S. Treasury securities jumped to $739 billion, up dramatically from $535 billion in June 2008.

On March 17, the Moscow Times published an article revealing the Kremlin attended to use the April G20 meeting in London to push for the IMF to utilize SDRs as "a super-reserve currency widely accepted by the whole of the international community."

Then, a few days later, on March 24, the Financial Times in London reported China's central bank governor Zhou Xiaochuan has proposed to utilize SDRs issued by the IMF as a world reserve currency.

The coincidence of the two announcements gave the impression Moscow and Beijing had coordinated their efforts to undermine the dollar.

The G20 final communiqué gave the strong impression the meeting adopted China's proposal.

China's proposal called for the IMF to issue at least $250 billion in SDRs to IMF-member states as a method of placing a safety net under developing countries that might otherwise have to declare bankruptcy.

International overdraft

As Red Alert previously reported, the proposal originally advanced by China and Russia would issue SDRs to central banks of IMF member states far in excess of any gold or currency reserves the member states have on deposit with the IMF.

The idea is to utilize the little-understood and largely ignored SDR's in a new capacity, as a sort of an international overdraft facility made available to bankrupt or financially failing IMF members originated with Ted Turner, formerly a senior official at both the Federal Reserve and the U.S. Treasury.

The IMF created SDRs in 1969 to support the Bretton Woods fixed–exchange-rate system.

"The international supply of two key reserve assets – gold and the U.S. dollar – proved inadequate for supporting the expansion of world trade and financial development that was taking place," a a document on the IMF website explains.

"Therefore, the international community decided to create a new international reserve asset under the auspices of the IMF."

When the Bretton Woods fixed-rate system collapse, major world currencies, including the dollar, shifted to a floating exchange rate system where the price of the dollar and other major world currencies was created by trading on international currency exchanges.

Until the current global economic crisis, SDRs issued by the IMF have been used by IMF members primarily as a reserve account to support international trade transactions, not as an alternative international currency available to settle international debt transactions in danger of default.

Rahm Emanuel is the Obama Administration's attack toad.

By the time Obama gets through destroying the value of American money we'll have to go
back to dealing in beads.

I don't care what anybody says about Barack Obama. The sonofabitch is not an
American.
