- HOLLYWOOD—After
  remaining in the top twenty books of its genre for the past three years, the
  movie rights to Thomas and Nita Horn's white-knuckle thriller The Ahriman Gate
  have been sold to an as-yet undisclosed Hollywood filmmaker.
- The agreement
  provides the producer with the worldwide motion picture, television, and video
  rights; rights in all other audio-visual mediums; motion picture distribution
  rights in all territories; and certain merchandising rights.
- Buzz over The Ahriman Gate—which Entertainment
  Magazine's Jim McDonald calls "a high energy thriller in the vein of
  Dean Koontz and John Saul"—has steadily risen since the initial release
  in 2005.
- "The book instantly became the publisher's biggest
  seller and has resulted in hundreds of requests from anxious readers for a
  sequel," says Publicist Susan Benson.
- "The book was written to include
  the possibility of a follow-up, and now with the movie option, it makes sense to
  move forward with the next book in the series."
- The working title for the new book is simply Ahriman
  Gate II and is timed to be released shortly after the movie comes to the big
  screen.
- The film adaptation is currently being drafted and the
  producer's goal is to have the movie in theaters by late 2009. The budget for
  the movie has been whispered at approximately 40 million dollars.
- The clever
  blend of scripture and biotechnology caused Randall Murphree of AgapePress and
  AFA Journal to write, "It's fascinating fiction, and I sincerely
  hope it is just that—fiction! Genetically modified creatures, spiritual
  alien forces, a clandestine government research project, and a sinister
  kidnapping—somehow, it all sounds too much like today's headlines. I
  commend the Horns for a gripping narrative that sends chills down your
  spine."
- The Ahriman Gate weaves
  science and technology with biblical prophecy to illustrate how emerging fields
  of science could be used to bring about the "end times."
- Ghostwriter and novelist Donna Howell is joining the
  Horn team in penning the sequel, and the publisher says it is "a match made
  in heaven. All three of these writers are capable of extraordinarily edgy
  suspense."
- The plot for the sequel is considered so sensitive that
  the publisher claims it is literally being kept under lock and key.
- More than a dozen experts from science, technology, and
  theology have provided an estimated three thousand pages of background material
  for the new book's premise, which the authors promise will be "more true
  than not, and the most frightening possibility that will ultimately challenge
  what scholars think they know about the Mark of the Beast.
- You can forget issues
  like implantable microchips. What we are working on has never been written
  before and will absolutely shock people when it is published."

- On 9/11/08, as I was waiting, and waiting on a delayed flight in Philadelphia, I had a long conversation about Bigfoot with an engineer who has worked for DuPont for 17 years.
- He told me that the hairy beast reports from Seneca, Illinois, are still quite active and all the people he has recently worked with there talk about them all the time.
- (My informant, Brad, is a consultant to clean up the groundwater in Seneca. The location use to be owned by DuPont but is now owned by an Australian company.)

- The Seneca reports were in the news a great deal in 2005, and can be found in media articles such as this one here.
- As that article mentions, four accounts from Seneca, Illinois — two of which were from June 2005, while the others date to 1979 and 1983 — were deemed credible by the BFRO.
- In the 1960s-1970s, accounts from nearby Pekin, Illinois, were investigated by me and others, and included a Bigfoot seen swimming.
- But it is Seneca I wanted to note again today (and yes, I know that a certain Tom Biscardi piggybacked on the BFRO work by journeying their in the recent past),
- Longtime residents call the beast the “DuPont Monster” because it has been reported in the forest along DuPont Road for more than 40 years.

- The components of dynamite are created and stored there, for the construction of explosives used, mostly, reportedly, for mines.
- Now, as everyone knows, the reports of Mothman and Bigfoot, as well as other weird events, around Point Pleasant, West Virginia, were mostly in one specific spot - the TNT area, outside of town.

- The first thing the “airport” gentlemen from Indiana whom I met, who is consulting in Seneca, asked me when I mentioned the WVA site was, “Was it a DuPont factory?”

- The location was used to manufacture TNT during World War II.
- I didn’t know, although I don’t recall hearing DuPont associated with Mothman. But I now wonder what company (or spinoff or parent company) owned the TNT site near Point Pleasant.
- Something to think about and research later, when I return home unless a Cryptomundian finds the answer before then.

  Yes, TNT/Point Pleasant is acknowledged as a government project. But which corporations were the Dept of Defense contract holders?

- There does seem to be a Dupont Plant in the area. I don’t know how long its been there, or if Dupont worked with the TNT. The link is here.

  I dunno if this is useful, but: Pantasote Inc. “Located within the heavily polluted West Virginia Ordnance Works facility, this small manufacturer of resins had its own wealth of environmental problems” Seems this company would have been on some of the WVOW land after the war….including the era of the original MM sightings.
