As we all have heard, the laptop for teachers project of the DoE has now been officially been gazetted. Teachers are to get an allowance of R130 per month to subsidise the aquisition of the laptop over a 5 year period. I think this would make a GREAT excercise to work out just how vaible this innitiative is. This document gives the background to the project. I am looking forward to a great lessonplan!!!???? Maybe I can geet Casio to sponsor a calulator for the most innovative lesson plan for this context!??

This problem presents students with a “which-is-thebest-buy” scenario involving admission to an amusement park. Students choose between four different admission rates, and then must justify why they selected the rate that they did.
