Encyclopedia of Educational Technology
The Encyclopedia of Educational Technology (EET) is a collection of short multimedia articles on a variety of topics related to the fields of instructional design and education and training. The primary audiences for the EET are students and novice to intermediate practitioners in these fields, who need a brief overview as a starting point to further research on specific topics. Authors are graduate students, professors, and others who contribute voluntarily. Articles are short and use multimedia to enrich learning rather than merely decorate the pages.

NCTE (National Centre for Technology in Education) - ICT Planning
International research shows that schools often greet the arrival of computers with a mixture of trepidation and enthusiasm as they get to grips with the exciting task of mastering new technologies. Initially, schools tend to focus on acquiring additional hardware and software, perhaps without much thought as to how these resources can be used effectively in a learning context. Having had these new resources for some time, schools then start to explore how they can support teaching and learning within the school.
If a school develops an ICT plan at an early stage in its ICT development, it often focuses on providing students with computer skills in isolation from integrating ICT into the school curriculum. Moreover, the ICT plan tends to be separated from the whole school plan, as one or more enthusiastic teachers may develop it in isolation from their colleagues. Such an approach, particularly in the early adoption of ICT, is extremely commonplace. Instead, schools are urged to start from a curriculum perspective, and to ask how the available technology will enhance the teaching and learning environment for both teachers and students.
