Since the 1970s, however, the Egyptian Brotherhood renounced violence and rejected Mr. Qutb's more fiery theories. Bin Laden's Former Driver Convicted by Military Tribunal
A six-member military jury found Salim Ahmed Hamdan guilty of supporting al-Qaeda by driving and guarding the terrorist leader. The jurors found him not guilty of conspiring with bin Laden in terrorist attacks. The same uniformed jurors will hold another hearing Wednesday afternoon to determine a sentence.

He firmly believed that jihad was to be fought only on the battlefield in defense of Islam; he had always been taught that the killing of civilians had nothing to do with holy war and that it was forbidden.

Nasir Abas was a An Qaeda top commander in Indonesia for 20 years apx. He taught bomb building d other insurgent terrorist tactics to recruits from Indonesia, Malasia, Phillipinanes etc..
He quit Al Qaeda when Bin Laden sent him a letter telling him to kill Jews and Americans. Narsi changed sides and then had about 300 Al Qaeda members jailed around his area of influence.

Deal lets U.S. drones strike bin Laden
The United States has a standing agreement with Pakistan that CIA-operated Predator drones may strike Osama bin Laden's hide-out without prior permission from Islamabad, according to people familiar with the arrangement.
