  • That evidence, much of it classified and obtained by military and CIA personnel on the battlefield, is not the standard kind of proof judges are accustomed to seeing in regular criminal cases here, administration officials say. The documents do not contain the kind of detail—or include sources of that information—that’s typical in criminal cases, sources say.
  • A key reason for imprisoning the detainees at GTMO in the first place was the belief that they would not have access to the courts, since they were not on U.S. soil.

AMERICA --soldier gets 110-years for raping girl - Times Online

  • This American soldier received 110 years to serve in a prison while another soldier in the same group recieved a 100 year jail sentence for participating in the rape crimes on an Iraqi girl. Now if American soldiers are given severe prison penalties for their crimes; would America provide farin justice to the Guitmo "enemy combattants" who were captured by co-alition forces in Afghanistan/Iraw etc.?

  • “We were expecting the death penalty against those criminals and the place to
carry out the sentence is where the incident happened,” Janabiat’s cousin,
    Abu Ammar, told Reuters.
    • The depth of involvement in the crimes determines the punishment of the criminals under America's laws. America has the death penalty in some states but not all states. The military laws are seperate laws enforced by the military and with a view od delivering "justice" to all concerned. I'm sorry that some people don't agree with the punishment given these soldiers but 100 or more years with loss of freedom can be more severe to bear than the death sentence. Sadam isn't suffering anymore for the crimes he committed and I wonder if he too, should have received a prison sentence of 100 or more years in jail. Sadam would still be in jail wishing he was executed , I would guess had he not been hung. - on 2008-06-17

Army for a “personality disorder” and is awaiting trial in a civilian court,
where he could face a possible death penalty.

US: 500 Youths Detained in Iraq - TIME

Sometimes it gets aggravating when one reads the comments from agencies that do not have the responsibilty to keep the world safe. I am certain if the peoople why criticize others were to have the positions of responsibility that they criticize they would have a different story to tell.

U.S. military will seek death penalty for 6 Guantánamo prisoners - International Herald Tribune

  • The enemy will get a fair trial here in America; more so than they would in other Islamic countries.  The animals of terrism should be given the most serious punishment so that other terrorist can learn that their ways are not the ways for civilized people to behave.
