The Winners and Losers of the 2008 Presidential Election
Every contest has its winners and losers and the 2008 Presidential election is no exception. Here is a list put together by our friend, Ariana Huffington.
John Cusack Rants: McCain/Palin Worse than Bush
Actor/activist John Cusack.....you know who he is , right? He made his screen debut in 1983 and more recently wrote, produced and starred in a political satire called WAR Inc. Well, not only have I enjoyed Cusack’s movies for years it seems I agree with his political views as well. Below is an article where he rails against John McCain and Sarah Palin, making the case that they are far worse than George Bush! Can that be?
Arianna Reminds Us What’s Really Important in this Election
Did Sarah Palin wrongfully have her ex-brother-in law fired? Was she really against the "Bridge to Nowhere?" Did she really sell Alaska's plane on eBay, or just list it on eBay? Et cetera, etc. The correct answer to all these questions is: who cares? Which isn't to say these aren't valid questions. The thing is that every second of this campaign not spent talking about the Republican Party's record, and John McCain's role in that record, is a victory for John McCain.
The Authoritative Trig Palin Conspiracy Time Line
The McCain campaign won’t countenance it, and Barack Obama has even declared it off-limits, but the question of Trig Palin’s parentage—whether his real mom is Sarah Palin or her five-months pregnant, 17-year-old daughter Bristol—has transfixed the blogosphere. To settle the matter once and for all, Vanity Fair magazine put together this handy timeline juxtaposing both the official narrative and the wingnut conspiracy theories. Vote for the most likely scenario after the jump.
Religion and Politics - The Pew Research Center National Survey - PART II
The debate surrounding religion and POLITICS is as old as our democracy and was one of the issues of concern among our Founding Fathers. The issue has gained more interest and notoriety as the evangelical movement grew and became more proactive in politics. As a result, The Lang Report is publishing in several parts, the national survey conducted by the Pew Research Center . This is Part II titled, “The Mix of Religion and Politics”
KARL ROVE WATCH #14
Karl Rove has been a lightning rod for controversy ever since he entered our awareness as "Bush's brain," orchestrating the rise of the "Bush Crime Family" and their constituinally criminal exploits. The Lang Report has been publishing articles from around the blogosphere in an effort to keep our readers current and keep the heat on Rove. This began after he decided to ignore the Congressional subpoena demannding that he appear to testify before the Committee investigating an array of illegal activities.
Is John McCain a Drowning Man?
John McCain put on quite a performance this week as he desperately tried to explain "the surge" and has come off like a bumbling, self-obsessed drowning man. Factually, he has made so many mistakes that, as far as I'm concerned, it should disqualify him from being our next president. Watch the videos and YOU BE THE JUDGE....
Karl Rove MUST Go to Jail
If We, the American people, allow Karl Rove and other members of the Bush Administration to ignore Conressional mandates then we must as well burn the Constitution and write all new rules...
Bush and McCain Aren’t Listening
Even Iraq’s own Prime Minister is demanding a timeline for withdrawal, but John McCain’s policy would keep us in Iraq for years to come even though his once said that he would advocate withdrawal if and when the Iraqi’s asked us to leave. Well they have and McCain is “flip-flopping.”
KARL ROVE WATCH #7
The saga goes on as The Lang Report continues to maintain an ongoing vigil on the scoundrel, Karl Rove, documenting information published on the Internet after he "dissed" the Congress, the Constitution...
The Next Supreme Court

America’s Viral Epidemic is IGNORANCE
What does the fashion habits or opinions of Michelle Obama or Cindy McCain have to do with Universal Healthcare, Poverty or the war in Iraq? NOTHING! So why is the mainstream media making them fair game and a factor of who will lead our country for the next 4 to 8 years? There is an epidemic that has grown beyond control over the years and if not arrested, will forever destroy our already damaged Democracy. This illness is viral in nature…spread by the Mainstream Media …and is called IGNORANCE!
Draining America’s Oil is NOT a Solution
After years of supporting a federal moratorium on oil and natural gas drilling in the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico, Sen. John McCain changed course on June 17 and now supports the exploration and exploitation of coastal waters. President Bush endorsed that position the next day. Surprisingly, Florida Gov. Charlie Crist also embraced the McCain/Bush proposal despite long opposition to offshore drilling. ...."sounds like a 3rd Bush term to me"

Americans Must STOP McCain’s Continuation of Bush’s Failed “War on Drugs”
One lesson that our legislators need to learn is that the same behavior expecting different results IS INSANE!!! We, the United States, have seriously been involved in what we mistakenly call a “war on drugs” for over 30 years now, and all we have to show for it is more drugs, more addicts. more crime and wealthier drug dealers. And now, the Republican candidate for President, John McCain, seems hell-bent on maintaining the status quo, imprisoning another generation.

Vandals, aka, ignorant, racists have come out from the slimy rock they live under to paint 60 cars with derogatory anti-Obama messages. Police on Sunday were investigating the spray-painting of dozens of city vehicles in Orlando Florida, some with disparaging messages about the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.
