Diigo Launches - More Than Just Bookmarking

  • In terms of research, you can bookmark and annotate all the sites related to the topic you are researching. When your done getting all the information you need, select all the bookmarks in the “My Bookmarks” area and select in the top right drop down, “Extract highlights.” This will then grab all your notes from all the sources you’ve saved and display them on a clean page for you to look over and print.
    • This feature has proven incredibly useful to me in my research for my dissertation. Imagine opening a book you've read and taken notes on and being able to easily turn to a section that contains only the text you highlighted and the contents of your sticky notes -- this is what Diigo provides. You can either link to the page and see your own highlighting and notes there, or you can have Diigo extract your notes and highlights for you and read those only. The ability to share commentary and notes with other users is icing on the cake. - on 2006-08-01
