TrueCrypt - Free Open-Source On-The-Fly Disk Encryption Software for Windows Vista/XP/2000 and Linux

  • Secure virtual volumes for Windows and Linux.
    See also:
    • ScramDisk also supports TrueCrypt volumes.
      Available on Linux and Windows (though it is no longer developed on
      Windows). So the Linux version can be used as a simple GUI for TrueCrypt
    • FreeOTFE (Windows, Linux and Windows Mobile). More complex to set up and manage than TrueCrypt but the support for Windows Mobile might be of interest

AOLeave - export your AOL data

  • AOLeave - Address Book

    <!---<p align="justify">
    I have just discovered a bug in the Address Book program (thankyou Scott for bringing this to my attention). If you run the program and get the following;<br>
    <font face="courier">C:\TEMP\aoleave>java AddBook addbook.pfc addbook.csv<br>
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String ind<br>
    ex out of range: 1158<br>
    at java.lang.String.charAt(Unknown Source)<br>
    at AddBook.main(AddBook.java, Compiled Code)<br></font>
    your .pfc contains the problem.
    I am working on it and will post an upgrade soon.<br>
    Please note, this may not affect you.
    </p>--->

    To use the Address Book tool you must save your Address Book from the AOL interface. To do this, go to the 'Mail Center' menu and select 'Address Book'. Click on the 'Save/Replace' icon. Select the option 'Save the Address Book for your current screen name.' and click on the OK button. The default is to save the file as "Address Book.pfc" in your 'download' folder. Change the name to something like 'addbook.pfc'. Place a copy of the Java program, 'AddBook.class', in the folder you saved 'addbook.pfc' to. To run the program open a DOS window and CD to the download directory.
    The command to run the program is;

    java AddBook addbook.pfc addbook.csv
