Don't be put off by the title. This is an interesting insight into issues in the Apple world and perhaps acts as a bit of a balance to the Apple marketing machine.

Excellent, multi-platform freeware that can extract and manipulate the EXIF meta-data in JPEG files. It understands IPTC & XMP data as well as EXIF camera data. It can also be used to rename files according to the meta-data.
I use it to batch rename camera images according to their date/time & camera model.
