Excellent, multi-platform freeware that can extract and manipulate the EXIF meta-data in JPEG files. It understands IPTC & XMP data as well as EXIF camera data. It can also be used to rename files according to the meta-data.
I use it to batch rename camera images according to their date/time & camera model.
Sets Geo data and other meta-data. Uses ExifTool, Google Maps, supports RAW, sync with track files or budy images, make use of locr.com.
Portable, no need for installation. Batch files provided to reg/unreg the shell extensions.
Java app to manipulate track files. Can plot in 2d & 3d, output in different formats, geotag and much more. Can even output POV files for 3d rendering!
Can geotag using embeded location OR address data (and can lookup the opposite information). Can also geotag via a separate track file or via manual map entry. Edits picture file meta data (not sure about IPTC though).
