  • The Siemens motor plant in Bad Neustadt a. d. Saale in Germany produces  customized motors and high-efficiency energy-saving motors. Contrary to standard  motors (EFF2), energysaving motors (EFF1) from the 1LE series are equipped with  a copper rotor. This allows for a significantly higher efficiency - even from  the same frame size motor. "What makes more sense than to use the energy-saving  motors that we produce here in our own applications and at the same time confirm  their competitiveness" - explained Frank Plattenhardt, the engineer responsible  for the casting technology and energy in the in-house casting plant for aluminum  parts. "By using high-efficiency energy-saving motors", explained Frank  Plattenhardt, "we also support the trend to energy-saving drives that will  certainly continue to establish themselves in the future." The opinion of this  hands-on engineer has been further reinforced as a result of the latest two  in-house projects.
