- This article was very interesting to me since we just got done taking part in our World Sim project. I found that there is more life in the arctic than we thought. This article explains some suprising facts that people have found about the arctic life, several are newly discovered. Some topics are plant life, birds, and mammals. It is fun to find out the actual "advantages" to the harsh artctic weather because I am always used to hearing about the disadvantages. - Kayla on 2006-12-03
- This site I wish I would have find prior to our World Simulation. When you click on a country or region it takes you into another site and gives you a lot of useful information about that particular place. It talkes about population, economy, and gives some history about the place as well along with lots of other information. I think this could be a site for future anthropology students to use for their future World Simulation projects. - Kayla on 2006-12-03

- This article tells about the life of John Stuart Mill. It is interesting to find out how he started his life. It clearly states in this article how busy John was throughout his life by showing how a lot of his writings/journals came about. - Kayla on 2006-11-17

- I found the Tuvan Thoat Singers a very interesting topic discussed in class. That is why I wanted to research it more. I searched through several sites and liked this site because it has a lot of historical context as well as it explains how you do the throat singing as well. It would be hard to say all the interesting things just in this comment page so I am just goin to say it is something that is very interesting and should be read. - Kayla on 2006-11-10

- This site covers everything that Shamans consist of. It talks about specifically what is a Shaman, the origins of the word "Shaman", the different deffinitions, Priests and Shamans. It all is very interesting and it helped me gain a better understanding of what a Shaman was outside of the reader in class. - Kayla on 2006-11-03

- This article I found is very interesting. It pretty much continues where Welch left on in class Wednesday. I was interested in the Salt March, but wanted to know more about Gandhi and his life so this site allowed me to go to different links at the top and read more about him and his life accomplishments. - Kayla on 2006-10-27

- This site I found does not have a big story about the caste system, but instead it shows pictures and comments about the pictures to get more of a visual idea of the caste systems. This helped me out by looking at each of the different pictures to see how these people live and how they go about their every day lives. - Kayla on 2006-10-19

- I think this article is interesting because it goes in detail on the many things the bride/grooms families do before the arrangement of marriage. Exchanging horoscopes is something I would have never thought of them doing in order to find their "match". They also get to look at pictures of their possible groom/bride before they meet to see if they want to continue the arrangement of marriage with that person. If so, then the wedding will go on, but first the families meet to celebrate with a lot of sweets. This article helped me better understand what an arranged marriage consisted of. - Kayla on 2006-10-13

- I just found this article interesting. It almost resembles the Nacirema because it talks about how we reacted during the certain times of "blackouts" in the big ciities. People did not know how to act because we are so dependant upon the power of electricity. I thought it was funny when they mentioned the part about right after the lights turned on, there was already a huge line waiting outside of McDonald's. People take having stable electricity for granted. In many other countries power outages are normal, sometimes daily happenings. This article just proves how spoiled we really are and sometimes never step back to realize it. - Kayla on 2006-10-06

- This article does a very good job explaining how chemicals are endangering life on Earth. It gives good examples how chemicals/toxins from a far away country can reach the Arctic in just a few days. It also gives good examples on how these toxins are dangerous to animals and even human beings. It is actually a very sad article once you think about it. - Kayla on 2006-09-27
- This artice is very interesting because it does a good job stating that yes we live in a very toxic environment, but as the article states, the Arctic sometimes can have the worse end of the deal when dealing with toxins. It is amazing that toxins that start in far away countries can reach places like the Arctic in just a matter of days. The article gives good examples on how these toxins are passed down from animals to humans. All of these chemicals are endangering life on Earth (everywhere)! - Kayla on 2006-09-27

- This article was very beneficial as well as interesting to me. We all are in college to get a degree in something or another and after that degree we are going to be out in the work force. I think this site will be helpful to all of us so we can detect liers. This site tells you what motions the "lier" will go through when being confronted on their lies as well as a lot of other things too. - Kayla on 2006-09-15

- This website helps you get a better understanding of what Nacirema is really about. It also gives great examples and explanations on how other cultures may see our American culture, which will be very helpful for our paper. - Kayla on 2006-08-31
