"WeForest is creating a movement to reforest
20 million km² of the Earth
We empower local communities to reforest their environment,
We train them in permaculture techniques,
We educate them on the value of food forests: increased income, reduced water shortage and soil erosion.
Few people know that forests can halt climate change as they create clouds that cool the earth.
20 m km² (4 times the Amazon basin) is what's needed to increase cloud cover by 2% and compensate current global warming long enough until the "low carbon miracle" happens.
Our projects address all of the UN Millenium Development Goals, particularly#1, 3, 7, 8."
