Viewfinder: How to Seamlessly "Flickrize" Google Earth

“Viewfinder” is a novel method for users to spatially situate, or “find the pose,” of their photographs, and then to view these photographs, along with others, as perfectly aligned overlays in a 3D world model such as Google Earth. Our objective is to provide a straightforward procedure for geo-locating photos of any kind, and our approach is to engage a community of users for a certain amount of human help

Magazine: Create a customized magazine from your digital photographs

  • Now this looks like a pretty cool tool. Make a magazine cover from any photo. Just upload the photo you want. Add the title, tag line, and front cover stories and it go. It will automatically add the information to the photo for you...you download it and print it off and you got yourself a custom cover for a magazine....this would be great for all ages!

Picnik - edit photos the easy way, online in your browser

  • From Will Richardson:

Tim Lauer recently pointed to Picnik
and after just a few seconds of playing around I already love it from
every angle. It’s free online photo editing, it does more than iPhoto
(which is one of the few things I haven’t liked about my MacBook), it
    integrates with Flickr
in a snap, and it’s got a healthy dose of Web as app wackiness about
it. (Just read the phrases that come up as you create and account and
    upload photos.)

Trippermap - get a flash world map of your flickr photos

  • Trippermap.com is a web service that allows you to put a flash based world map on your own website or blog. Trippermap will then automatically search your photos at Flickr for location information and plot the photos on your own Trippermap, on your own website.

It's as simple as tagging your photos with a city and country name!
