Keeping your baby safe is one of the greatest concerns of any new parent. The
numerous newspaper headlines of babies being rushed off to hospital after being
involved in accidents involving toys does not help new
parent's confidence. What new parents have got to do is take care when they buy
their new baby toys and be careful how they treat them in the house.
They are
now greatly aided by new EU regulations that have placed rigid rules on toy
manufactures. This has resulted in the actual safety of the toy itself greatly
improving and now moving the emphasis on toy use safety back onto the parent. A
new parent's major concern over baby toy safety should be focused on the
suitability of the toy for the baby.
New regulations clearly state on each
toy what age range the toy is suitable for. The danger now lies in the parent
providing a toy that is unsuitable for their age range. A good example of this
is when the baby has an elder sibling and has access to their toys that are
inadvertently left lying around.

Toys Are So Much More - Believe It
When your child is born and you give them toys do you view them as toys or should you see them as your child sees them. An object to explore and learn about not simply a toy. That is why many believe that it is in your child’s best interest developmentally that the “toys” you do give them be geared towards educational in some way. Technology Advances - Family Time Loosing Out | iSpy Family
Dad has a job, mom has a job, kids have school and practice for sports. Internet, tv and movies where do you fit in actual family time? Meaning one on one with your kids and spouse. Not movie time or run errands time but actual sit down and interact with each other time. The more technology advances it seems that the more family one on one time is sacrificed.

The first is a great rant from John Kass and his response to an Iranian officials declaration that American toys being imported into their country illegally are subversive. The second clip is from Pamela Paul regarding the over indulgence of toys in the world. The value of the toys today being cheapened by our own society as we keep giving our kids more and more placing no value on the toys they have.
