The International Technology in Education Mark (ITEM) is a new accreditation scheme for International Schools currently in pilot. Based on the UK’s ICT Mark and ISTE’s NETS, the scheme enables schools to self-review their ICT provision across all areas of the school, from administration to integrating ICT into the curriculum. ITEM sets out a structure of elements, strands and aspects to facilitate self-evaluation, benchmarking and action planning. The eight elements are:
* Leadership and Vision
* Learning Experiences
* Planning, Assessment & Evaluation
* Work and Learning
* Digital Citizenship
* Professional Growth and Practice
* Innovation and Creativity
* Resources
