The institution, renamed Kaplan College, has a longstanding tradition of excellence having provided high-quality educational programs to professionals for over 60 years. The college was recognized in 1998 when it was selected as one of fifteen schools in the United States to participate in the U.S. Department of Education's Distance Education Demonstration Program, a pilot program aimed at providing greater access to Title IV Student Financial Assistance for students taking online learning programs.
