Video Transcript: 279 FilmOn Live TV - iPhone App Review

TVs. The problem is that they’re just not everywhere. Phones however - they are pretty much everywhere. Or at least they are in my life. If you find yourself high, dry and without the telly for company, you might want to download FilmOn TV. This app quite simply collects together TV channels from around Europe and streams them in pretty high quality. Whilst the first few you come to might look suspiciously like channels you’ve never heard of, get down far enough and you’ll find the likes of the BBC channels, E4, Film 4 and even Men and Movies, purveyors of Westerns and Action flicks. Where you see the TV icon at the side, you can access the day’s schedule, although there’s no where to store either reminders or recordings. For data hungry reasons, the app will only work where you’ve got WiFi. Combine this with the fact that it’s completely free, and you’ve got a very economical way of watching TV.

natural systems, human systems, physical objects – have always generated an enormous amount of data, but we didn’t used to be able to hear it, to see it, to capture it. Now we can because all of this stuff is now instrumented. And it’s all interconnected, so now we can actually have access to it.
