Feature: How to Track Down Anyone Online

  • When you're trying to find someone online, Google's not the only game in town. In the last two years, a handful of new people search engines have come onto the scene that offer better ways to pinpoint people info by name, handle, location, or place of employment. While there's still no killer, one-stop people search, there are more ways than ever to track down a long-lost friend, stalk an ex, or screen a potential date or employee. claimID.com/help - Manage your online identity

  • We've worked hard to make claimID as simple to use as possible. The basic idea is you save the links that make up your online identity to claimID. We've been calling it a link resume, if that helps you form a better mental model. After you save the links, you will have a public claimID page. Search engines should start indexing your public claimID page shortly after you link to it
    • Set yourself up with your bookmarklet. Here's yours: [my links"). Create groups to categorize your links if you wish.
    • Search for yourself. Add your claimed links with your bookmarklet. You can add tags, description, other fun stuff.
    • Arrange your links and groups to present your identity the way you (not the search engines) want. Just click on reorder links, and then drag, drop and save.
    • Add your name, contact information, biography, picture, text or whatever else you'd like to the right sidebar.
    • You're done. Tell the world by adding a link to your personal claimID to your blog or homepage.
