The reason I have decided to
share this clip is because it reminded me of the Magna Carta
Auction bookmark. In this video Stephen Colbert decides to
try to donate his portrait to the Smithsonian in Washington. In
trying to 'convince' them (the Smithsonian) to allow his portrait
to be hung, he ridicules some of America's national treasures. It
relates to the Magna Carta because it is ironic what people place
value on. i.e. The paper that the document was written on, not the
ideals the Manga Carta helped to convey, or a dead president's
possessions.
