-
Add Sticky NoteAuthority changes slowly on the "old" Web.
- Is this a bad thing? A real time web is not going to be authoritative by default. Does it need to be? - on 2009-09-23

The Sternberg Effect: Reasons to use Twitter
The bigger question you should be asking yourself is, "Why do I care what a random blogger (and not even a good one at that) thinks about Twitter (or anything else. But that's a whole other issue)?" The answer is simplistically simple: the nature of social media is to learn from others.
Conversation Agent: You're on Twitter, Now What?
Consider this - Twitter is
* searchable content
* a series of micro impressions
* a presence tool
* a social network
* an information hub
* an idea exchange

* quick, short, and not always on the mark
* sound bites where you provide the context
* and more... (feel free to add)

Twitter Tips: Three Ways To Deal With Twitter Spam | ITworld

Twibes Twitter Groups
A twibe is a group of Twitter users interested in a common topic who would like to be able to communicate with each other. On each twibe's page, there is a list of twibe members. There is also a tweet stream that lists tweets from twibe members which contain key word tags. Tags are set by the twibe founder and are listed just above the tweet stream. You can browse through twibes that have already been created by going to www.twibes.com/twitter-groups.
Ten Twitter Mythconceptions | Technologizer
Poor Twitter! It may be the hottest service on the Web, but it’s also profoundly misunderstood. Lots of people cheerfully admit they don’t get it. Others emphatically believe things about it that aren’t true. I encounter confusion over Twitter every day, especially in the real world as I chat with folks who have either never used it, or have tried it and then walked away. It also pops up on Twitter itself (where, incidentally, I’m @harrymccracken and a feed of all Technologizer stories is available at @technologizer).
