professionals with equitable access to authoritative and independent
commentaries from leading medical experts on articles or news items which
appear in the media in an attempt to reduce the confusion which can often
arise from conflicting, incomplete or misleading media reports of medical
areas. Published articles cover a diverse range of areas and are intended
to provide a longer term overview rather than an instant response.

La culture informationnelle est une notion nouvelle et complexe, généralement posée comme une réponse aux enjeux des technologies de l'information et des « sociétés du savoir ». Mais ses finalité restent souvent mal définies, ses contenus didactiques mal délimités et ses présupposés épistémologiques peu explicités. Ce texte s'organise autour de plusieurs questionnements imbriqués, cherchant à identifier les principales questions concernant les enjeux, les finalités, les contenus et les présupposés de la culture informationnelle. En conclusion sont décrits quatre niveaux possibles d’une formation globale à l’information, depuis le niveau pratique jusqu’à celui de la réflexivité critique.
