這個預視畫面上的文字，原來是可以選取的；它並不是靜態圖檔。但真正重要的是這些對話的內容：這是小說「一九八四」中，主角史密斯（Smith）在犯下思想罪、被思想警察逮捕，而且在友愛部中受盡身心折磨之後，與負責對他進行「再教育」的奧勃良（O'Brian）進行的一段對話。這段對話其實極其苛烈，似乎不像是會被放在一個IM軟體視窗裡的內容。這段文字是這樣的：

This, in fact, is true for all forms of communication such as emails, fixed and mobile phone calls, and instant messaging between people within China and between China and other countries. TOM, like every other communications service provider operating in China, has an obligation to be compliant if they are to be able to operate in China at all.”
