Do Ron Paul’s Supporters Refuse to Admit His Faults When It Comes to Earmarks? « Republican Ranting
I was reading an article on ConservativeHQ.com, “Ron Paul’s Pork Problem,” which basically criticized Representative Ron Paul (R-TX) for being a hypocrite on fiscal conservative principles by arguing for smaller government and less government spending but getting 22 earmarks (totaling $96.1 million) in the recent $410 billion omnibus spending bill.

Ron Paul Endorses Chuck Baldwin (Constitution Party Candidate) for President « Republican Ranting
-
OK, back on September 10th, I had meant to post Ron Paul’s “endorsement” speech, but some crazy things happened in my life and I didn’t get to it. Well, none of that really matters now. The basics of his speech there (which I have just below) were that he’s endorsing all of the 3rd party candidates - basically don’t vote for McCain or Obama.

The Constitution Party of Montana, which broke off from the national party back in 2006, decided not to stick with the national party’s nominee (Chuck Baldwin for President/Darrell Castle for VP), but rather nominate Ron Paul for President, and 2000 Constitution Party nominee, Michael Perutka, for Vice President.

First, I’d like to apologize to the Idaho Republicans. While in the midst of a house crisis, I completely forgot about your primary, and for that, I am sorry. Yours was the only primary/caucus that I did not post a prediction for.
Now, on to the June 3rd primaries…

Indiana Primary Results: 11:00 P.M.: Clinton & McCain Win « Republican Ranting
-
This will be my last update for the night. The amount of precincts coming in has now all but stopped, so I’ll just give a recap whenever the full results are in. Here are the results from the Indiana Primary as of 11:00 P.M. EDT with 86% reporting:
Democrats:
Clinton 560,720 52% 15 delegates
Obama 521,415 48% 11 delegates
North Carolina Primary Results: 10:45 P.M.: Obama & McCain Win « Republican Ranting
-
Here are the results from the North Carolina Primary as of 10:45 P.M. EDT with 86% reporting. This will be my last update for North Carolina tonight:
Democrats:
Obama 781,911 56% 31 delegates
Clinton 582,257 42% 20 delegates
No Preference 19,876 1% 0 delegates
Most of the eastern part of the state has now reported, most counties going for Obama, but the margin by which he’s leading has stayed the same. There’s still a few eastern counties that have to report in and a couple on the west side.
Indiana Primary Results: 10:30 P.M.: Clinton & McCain Win « Republican Ranting
-
Here are the results from the Indiana Primary as of 10:30 P.M. EDT with 85% reporting:
Democrats:
Clinton 552,530 52% 15 delegates
Obama 511,754 48% 11 delegates
We are now just waiting on a few counties. Union and Lake are the only 2 that haven’t reported in any precincts yet. There’s a few down by Indianapolis that are incomplete, and then in northern Indiana, we’re waiting on about half of Laporte and 29% of Porter.
North Carolina Primary Results: 10:15 P.M.: Obama & McCain Win « Republican Ranting
-
Here are the results from the North Carolina Primary as of 10:15 P.M. EDT with 74% reporting:
Democrats:
Obama 700,589 56% 31 delegates
Clinton 523,010 42% 20 delegates
No Preference 17,782 1% 0 delegates
Most of the eastern part of the state has now reported, most counties going for Obama, but the margin by which he’s leading has stayed the same. There’s still a few eastern counties that have to report in.
Indiana Primary Results: 10:00 P.M.: Clinton & McCain Win « Republican Ranting
-
Here are the results from the Indiana Primary as of 10:00 P.M. EDT with 81% reporting:
Democrats:
Clinton 515,289 52% 15 delegates
Obama 479,085 48% 11 delegates
There are still some counties that will go for Clinton that haven’t reported any precincts yet. Fountain county wound up going to Clinton. The rest of the counties that need to report should be Clinton counties, so she should finish around 53%.
North Carolina Primary Results: 9:45 P.M.: Obama & McCain Win « Republican Ranting
-
Here are the results from the North Carolina Primary as of 9:45 P.M. EDT with 56% reporting:
Democrats:
Obama 570,632 56% 20 delegates
Clinton 421,147 42% 13 delegates
No Preference 13,765 1% 0 delegates
Obama has now fallen quite a bit below that 60% line. The western counties have begun to come in, so I think that as the Charlotte and Greensboro areas continue to come in, Obama will go back up to around 58%.
Indiana Primary Results: 9:30 P.M.: Clinton & McCain Win « Republican Ranting
-
Here are the results from the Indiana Primary as of 9:30 P.M. EDT with 73% reporting:
Democrats:
Clinton 473,412 52% 15 delegates
Obama 429,273 48% 11 delegates
There are still some counties that will go for Clinton that haven’t reported any precincts yet. Fountain county, which is right on the border of an Obama sect of Indiana also hasn’t reported. Depending on how that county goes, Clinton may stay at only 52% or she may be able to rise up to 53% or even 54%.
North Carolina Primary Results: 9:15 P.M.: Obama & McCain Win « Republican Ranting
-
Here are the results from the North Carolina Primary as of 9:15 P.M. EDT with 33% reporting:
Democrats:
Obama 433,287 59% 20 delegates
Clinton 285,442 39% 13 delegates
No Preference 9,355 1% 0 delegates
As I predicted, Obama HAS fallen down below 60%, although he may bounce back. He’s doing well along the coast, which is beginning to come in now, and Mecklenburg County (Charlotte) still has all but a few precincts still left unreported. The areas around Raleigh are now about 75% in. I think Obama will continue to hover around this 60% line.
Indiana Primary Results: 9:00 P.M.: Clinton & McCain Win « Republican Ranting
-
Here are the results from the Indiana Primary as of 9:00 P.M. EDT with 67% reporting:
Democrats:
Clinton 435,889 53% 7 delegates
Obama 383,082 47% 3 delegates
We now have most of the Indianapolis area reporting (67% in Marion, 35% in Hamilton, 100% in Boone, and 44% in Montgomery), all of St. Joseph county (South Bend), and still 93% of Allen County (Fort Wayne)
North Carolina Primary Results: 8:45 P.M.: Obama & McCain Win « Republican Ranting
-
Here are the results from the North Carolina Primary as of 8:45 P.M. EDT with 18% reporting:
Democrats:
Obama 330,965 62% 20 delegates
Clinton 194,701 36% 13 delegates
No Preference 5,687 1% 0 delegates
A lot of the areas around Raleigh (Wake, Orange, Durham) counties have reported well over half of their precincts, and this is where Obama’s main support is coming from, while the outskirts of the state (Clinton’s support) haven’t come in yet much at all (they have the option of staying open until 8:30, and it’s usually the outskirts that do this). I think he may fall to the low 60% range, or even fall below 60% by the end of the night.
