Well, I called this one (not on this blog, but another website I post on) over a month ago, when he said that a recession may make him delay the repealment of the Bush tax cuts. Well, this morning on Meet the Press, an advisor on his transition team, Bill Daley (Secretary of Commerce under President Clinton), said that it’s looking like Obama isn’t going to push for them to be repealed, but just let them expire in 2011.

The Problem with the Republican Party « Republican Ranting
-
So, I was taking a shower a couple days ago, when I had an epiphany (it’s where I always do all my great thinking). I came up with this phrase: “A tax-and-spend liberal is better than a tax-cut-and-spend conservative. At least the liberal can balance the budget.”

Barack Obama Is Not the 44th President (Yet) « Republican Ranting
-
Perhaps it’s just me, but I’ve noticed a lot of people calling Barack Obama “our 44th President,” and I don’t remember this happening after other elections. President Bush was called President-Elect, and I wasn’t old enough to remember 1992, but from searches on the Internet, there weren’t a lot of people labelling him President before January (granted, there were no blogs back then). I’ve seen all over the Internet blogs rejoicing about Barack Obama being our 44th President. I’ve seen t-shirts with the seal with the label “44th President of the United States of America.” I will say that the media has done a good job in calling him “President-Elect” and not calling him the 44th President.

Well, my school’s news paper, the Central Michigan Life (Central Michigan University) has sunk to a new low. In a video article titled “Voters discuss their picks for president,” (the video has since been taken down) they have students saying who they voted for and used that candidate’s logo as the image. The problem came when Adam Kaminski, the video’s creator, used a logo which read, “Make Me Viagra’s Next Spokesman” on Senator McCain’s logo.

Alright, this will finish out my prediction series for today, following my Presidential and Senate election predictions.
