Kapha people should avoid   heavy, oily foods, dairy and iced drinks;   instead they need to include pungent,   bitter, and astringent tastes that decrease   kapha influences. Food items such as spices,   green leafy vegetables, chilies, beans etc.   should be included in diet.

Kapha people should avoid   daytime naps. Going to bed early and rising   early is always beneficial for them.

 

The corresponding colors   of Kapha dosha are bright colors such as red   and orange and the favorable stone is Lapis. 

A Food Plan to Balance kapha Dosha
  Kapha is mainly water element thus   influences the heavy, moist aspects of the   body. To keep kapha under balance warm, dry,   light food cooked with less water and   minimum of fat is needed. One should   increase the use of pungent, bitter, and   astringent tastes. Kapha people should   consume limited amount of sugar, oil and   salt as well. Lightly cooked vegetables and   raw fruits and vegetables are more   beneficial for kaphas.

 

Kapha people usually have   a tendency to overeating that should be   controlled because it lead to weight gain   due to slow digestion.

 

Any food that is spicy is   good for kaphas such as very hot Mexican or   Indian food, especially in winter.

 

For kapha types,   breakfast is optional that means you can   skip it if you like. If you take breakfast   it should be very light. You can have foods   such as hot-spiced cider, buckwheat pancakes   with apple butter, corn muffins, and bitter   cocoa made with skim milk and a touch of   honey. The main meal should be at the middle   of the day, and only a light, dry meal in   the evening is advisable.

 

To energize yourself in   the morning, you can take honey, hot water,   lemon juice and ginger. Ginger tea can also   be taken.

The Fast Track Court (5), Bangalore on Tuesday deferred the anticipatory bail application of Islamist leader Abdul Nasser Madani, 31st accused in the Bangalore bombings case, to June 29 for detailed examination after the Karnataka Police filed its counter-affidavit vehemently arguing against granting bail. This was the second deferment of Madani’s bail application in four days.

यह मूल ढांचा उपनिषद सोच में निहित है। इसका केंद्रीय संदेश है कि ब्रह्मंांड में तमाम जीवन दिव्य है और जीव विशेष परम दिव्यात्मा की दिव्य अभिव्यक्ति है। इस अलौकिक सिद्धांत में समता का आशय सन्निहित है। भविष्य पुराण के अनुसार, 'चूंकि तमाम जातियों के सदस्य ईश्वर की संतान हैं इसलिए वे एक ही जाति से संबद्ध हैं। तमाम मानव एक ही पिता की संतान हैं और एक पिता की संतान की अलग-अलग जाति नहीं हो सकती।' महाभारत में भृगु को उत्तर देते हुए भारद्वज इस विषय के मूल पहलू पर प्रकाश डालते हैं, 'हम सब इच्छाओं, क्रोध, भय, दुख, चिंता और श्रम से प्रभावित होते हैं, इसलिए हमारे बीच में जातिगत भेद कैसे हो सकता है।' हिंदुत्व की मूल भावना ही जाति व्यवस्था के विरुद्ध है। इस व्यवस्था से आबद्ध एकमात्र स्त्रोत ऋग्वेद में वर्णित है। इसके अनुसार, पुरुष चार भागों में विभक्त है। पहला भाग मुंह है, दूसरा भुजाएं, तीसरा जंघा और चौथा पैर। इस बयान की व्याख्या इस प्रकार की गई है कि ब्राह्मंाण सबसे ऊंचे अंग से संबंधित हैं और शूद्र सबसे निचले अंग से। इनके बीच में क्षत्रिय, यानी योद्धा और वैश्य अर्थात व्यापारी और किसान आदि आते हैं। यह व्याख्या स्पष्ट रूप में मनगढ़ंत और अस्वीकार्य है।

 

कोई धार्मिक सत्ता जन्म के आधार पर जाति व्यवस्था का निर्धारण नहीं कर सकती। 'अन-हिंदू स्पिरिट ऑफ कास्ट रिजिडिटी' आलेख में अरविंद ने अवलोकन किया है, 'जातीय व्यवस्था की विकृति के अधम विचार और श्रेष्ठता की दिमागी खपत जो असमानता पर निर्भर है, परम शिक्षा से असंगत है। यह विचार हिंदुत्व की मूल भावना के विपरीत है। हिंदुत्व प्रत्येक व्यक्ति में अकाट्य देवत्व देखता है। निहित हितों के विशुद्ध स्वार्थ के कारण ही हिंदुत्व की असली भावना विलुप्त हो गई है और एक अविवेकपूर्ण व जड़ सामाजिक व्यवस्था ने जन्म लिया है।' समाज का ढांचा इस तरह का बना दिया गया कि ब्राह्मंाण जाति खुद को सूर्य के समान समझने लगी जिसके चारों ओर अन्य जातियां उपग्रह की तरह घूमती हैं। शूद्रों के साथ आपत्तिजनक व्यवहार किया गया। हिंदू विचार का मूलाधार, जो पूरी मानवजाति को एक परिवार के तौर पर देखता है, को किनारे कर दिया गया और ऐसी व्यवस्था की स्थापना की गई, जिसे तमाम मानव संस्थानों में सर्वाधिक विध्वंसक कहा जाता है।

 

ब्रिटिश साम्राज्यवादी हितों ने लोगों के बीच विभेद को गहरा करने में अपना भला समझा। 1901 में जनगणना आयुक्त हर्बर्ट रिस्ले ने जातीय वर्गीकरण में सामाजिक श्रेष्ठता के तत्व घुसा दिए। इससे जातीय भावना को संजीवनी मिली और विभिन्न जातीय सभाएं विकसित हो गईं। 1921 में जनगणना सुपरिंटेंडेंट मिडलटन ने कहा था, 'हमारे भूमि रिकॉर्ड और आधिकारिक दस्तावेजों ने जाति की पुरातन जड़ता को और पुख्ता कर दिया। हमने पूरे समाज को जातियों में विभक्त कर दिया।' दमित वर्गो के लिए अलग निर्वाचन के माध्यम से ब्रिटिश शासन ने हिंदुओं में विभेद के स्थायी बीज रोपने का भी प्रयास किया। इस फैसले को तब बदला गया जब गांधीजी आमरण अनशन पर बैठ गए और डा. अंबेडकर के साथ समझौते की स्थिति बनी जिसे हम पूना पैक्ट के नाम से जानते हैं।

Back in the days before he was surrounded by layers of ministerial security, Modi would escort his wife to church each Sunday, patiently waiting outside on his scooter until services finished. It is going to be slightly difficult to paint such a man as 'anti-secular'.

Nor has Sushil Kumar Modi been anything but an ideal colleague. He has been both honest and diligent. If Bihar is now on the highway to growth the state's finance minister deserves some credit for the fact.

Let us check the facts. Nitish Kumar was the Union railway minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee [ Images ] ministry when there were riots in Gujarat in 2002, and he did not resign at the time, did he? And the chief minister of Bihar knew who his Gujarat counterpart was when he accepted a cheque for flood relief after the Kosi [ Images ] rose in spate, didn't he? Isn't it slightly late in the day for Nitish Kumar to mount the moral high horse?

I fear that once such a census is approved there will be a demand to reserve constituencies on the basis of caste. It will divide society and the country.

Though the caste-based census was stopped in 1931, the opposition to this practice had begun in 1911 itself. A British officer had mentioned in his report that the so-called lower caste was trying to register itself as upper caste. Till date we have no mechanism to verify caste. I fear now people from higher castes will try to register themselves as lower castes to get the benefit of reservation.

I see confusion in two major political parties, Congress and BJP, over the issue. There is no way to understand what their stand is. A Congress MP Ajay Makan has openly told the party’s MPs to oppose the move. BJP’s deputy leader in Lok Sabha Gopinath Munde demanded the caste-based census, but did not get any party support. I sought clarification from the BJP on the issue, but did not get an answer. Manmohan Singh can ask a GoM to give an early report on the Bhopal gas tragedy. Is the caste issue not important for him?

   

संगमरमर के फ़र्श पर बैठकर भजन गा रहे सभी श्रद्धालु अफ़्रीक़ी मूल के हैं. एक भक्त लेबनान का भी है जिसने इस्लाम छोड़कर हिंदू धर्म अपना लिया है. हिंदू भजनों के साथ-साथ यहाँ सिखों के सतनाम वाहेगुरू का उच्चार भी लगातार सुनाई पड़ता है. सभी का हिंदी उच्चारण इतना स्पष्ट कि ये यक़ीन करना मुश्किल होता है कि भजन गाने वाले हिंदी भाषा का एक शब्द नहीं बोल सकते और न ही समझ सकते हैं. लेकिन धार्मिक विश्वास के कारण उन्होंने तमाम भजन कंठस्थ कर लिए हैं. एक ओर रखी बड़ी सी कुर्सी पर बैठे हैं भगवा वस्त्र पहने हुए स्वामी घनानंद सरस्वती जिन्होंने 1975 में द हिंदू मॉनेस्ट्री ऑफ़ अफ़्रीक़ा और इस मंदिर की स्थापना की थी.

 

स्वामी घनानंद घाना के ही एक गाँव में पैदा हुए. उनके माता-पिता एक परंपरागत अफ़्रीक़ी धर्म को मानते थे. असली नाम पूछने पर जवाब मिलता है, “मेरा नाम गाइड है. दिशा देने वाला.” स्वामी घनानंद बताते हैं कि बचपन से ही वो ब्रह्माण्ड के रहस्यों के बारे में सोचते रहते थे. स्कूल में उन्हें ईसाई धर्म की शिक्षा मिली लेकिन उन्हें अपने किसी सवाल का जवाब नहीं मिला. संयोगवश उन्होंने हिंदू धर्म और दर्शन संबंधी कुछ किताबें पढ़ीं जिसके बाद वो ऋषिकेश की यात्रा पर निकल पड़े जहाँ स्वामी श्रद्धानंद के आश्रम में उन्होंने हिंदू धर्म को समझा. स्वामी घनानंद कहते हैं, “मेरे गुरू स्वामी श्रद्धानंद ने मुझे घाना लौटने और वहाँ एक मंदिर की स्थापना करने की सलाह दी.” शुरुआत में उन्हें कुछ मुश्किलों का सामना करना पड़ा लेकिन धीरे धीरे मंदिर में आने वाले स्थानीय लोगों की संख्या बढ़ती चली गई. स्वामी घनानंद ने बताते हैं कि “अब लगभग दो हज़ार अफ़्रीक़ी मूल के लोग हिंदू धर्म में दीक्षित हुए हैं और इस मंदिर से जुड़े हैं.”

 

घाना की कुल आबादी लगभग 22 करोड़ है और यहाँ हिंदू धर्म को मानने वाले लोगों की संख्या पंद्रह हज़ार के क़रीब है. इनमें से तीन हज़ार अफ़्रीक़ी मूल के लोग अफ़्रीक़ा हिंदू मठ से जुड़े हुए हैं. घाना में हिंदू धर्म की शुरुआत 1947 के बाद से हुई जब भारत के विभाजन के बाद सिंधी समुदाय के कुछ लोग यहाँ आकर बसे और उन्होंने राजधानी अंकरा में एक मंदिर की स्थापना की. ये मंदिर आज भी मौजूद है.

घाना में रहने वाले भारतीय मूल के हिंदुओं का अफ़्रीका हिंदू मठ से नज़दीकी संबंध है और वो यहाँ के कार्यक्रमों में लगातार शामिल रहते हैं. इस मंदिर की अदभुत बात ये है कि यहाँ शिव-पार्वती, गणेश, काली, राम और कृष्ण के साथ-साथ ईसा मसीह की तस्वीर भी रखी हुई है. पूछने पर स्वामी घनानंद इसका दार्शनिक जवाब देते हैं. उन्होंने कहा, “हिंदू देवी देवताओं के साथ ईसा मसीह और मरियम की तस्वीर रखने में बुराई क्या है? समुद्र में जाओ तो वहाँ रेखाएँ खिंची नहीं मिलतीं. ये इंसानों ने ही बनाए हैं अटलांटिक महासागर और हिंद महासागर. ठीक वैसे ही ईश्वर एक है पर हम उसे अलग-अलग रूपों में पूजते हैं.”

Those who helped Warren Anderson flee Bharat enjoyed power for years. Their progeny is also enjoying power, money and life today whereas millions of Indians are still suffering. Do not get surprised if now to prevent any more cases on Warren Anderson and the types, if the same people come out with the new laws and constitutional amendments! Hafiz Sayeed, Dawood etc can’t be brought into Bharat because Pakistan doesn’t care a hoot for Bharat, Headly can’t be brought into Bharat because America manipulates with its sweet-Nuke-talk, Warren Anderson can’t be brought to books in Bharat for 25 years because the then ruling people helped him to flee after causing the second largest global gas chamber in Bharat! It is not shameful or disgusting; it is a gross violation of the law. But those who kept on saying in each election rally and even in their old age on the new electronic media that RSS killed Mahatma Gandhi (for which there were defamation cases on him and he had to apologise. But his then leader's progeny yet keeps on saying the same about RSS and sure to prevent such cases on him now his accomplices may even amend the constitution!)

Those who claim so much love for Malegaon and Ajmer victims are so conspicuously silent about Bhopal victims! Who really are the names in Bhopal escape saga? Ex-Justice Ahmadi, ex-Additional Solicitor General Aftab Ahmed, the then External Affairs Minister-state-Salman Khursheed, Pilots Hassan and Ali.... This is Bharat; not Pakistan. Bharat has its own CRPC. Sharia is only for personal matters; but those who shout every now and then about their ‘so called religious’ freedom under Sharia-what would they have done to all these people named above had the victims been allowed to follow Sharia? Sounds strange from me? 

But now there would be not uneasy but very studied and arrogant silence or some heavy English blah blah by these people. When Jamait-e-Ulema-e-Hind officially announced that they had created a pool of lawyers to help all those who had been caught for jehadi terrorism including the recently banned IM (Indian Mujahidin) Italian born madam recently sat on their dais and said, "Jamait ke aur humaare usool ek hain"-(Ours and Jamait’s ideology is the same!) Now is the time for Bharat to stand up again and ask all those who matter "Is yours and Warren Anderson’s ideology same too? So, you openly ban Indian Mujahidin but ensure that your state police file such a weak defense that Pune blast accused Abdul Samad gets bail, Faheem Ansari and the likes get acquitted and Warren Anderson, Headly flee Bharat! No brilliant lawyer or a prudent non-corrupt judge can do anything if the rulers mess up or influence the judicial process or even changes the law or creates bodies like NIA to jail all Hindus. Once the then Gujarat police officer Srikumar blamed the then Gujarat government for 2002 riots and the same people who helped Warren Anderson, Headly, Dawood flee Bharat lapped it up like a chocolate by a kid, NGOs and a few media treated that as ‘credible’ evidence, went to the Supreme Court and somehow got to set up even an SIT to send Hindus to jail. But now when the similar level government people in Bhopal-the then Collector-DM, Aviation Director are blaming the then governments and the same chocolate-lapping politicians and others are behaving as if those government officers don’t even exist! Same with Maharashtra Miraj riots! The then SP blamed a ruling political party’s leader there for riots and the SP is transferred, the leader is arrested just as a show but sure soon he would be out on bail. So if a government officer blames Hindus, he is honest; and if he blames anyone other that Hindus or RSS, VHP, then he does not even exist!
