Part 2 - 12 LogoType Designs - Have you Seen These Series | Logo, Identity & Brand Design Served up by ImJustCreative - Freelance Logo Designer
'The 12 LogoType Designs - Have you Seen These Series' showcases logos that are type orientated, in that they only use type or sets of characters to convey the message. They are free of icons and imagery. This style of logo design is one that I love, the logos are message focused, they are bold and strong, yet they can also be smooth and subtle. The emotion of the message changes with the typeface used.
The Epicly Crap Bing Logo Design by Microsoft - Voice Your Thoughts | Logo, Identity & Brand Design Served up by ImJustCreative - Freelance Logo Designer
Here are some honest thoughts on the Bing logo design. Frankly, when I first caught glimpse of this logo, I had to make sure it wasn't April Fools, somehow I had been caught up in some time distortion field. But no. This seems to be the real deal. Microsoft has really excelled at making themselves look hideously silly... again. And this is all before the product even launches. Nice.
The Behance Network Designers List - Add Your Details | Logo, Identity & Brand Design Served up by ImJustCreative - Freelance Logo Designer
A very simple and minimal post this. A handy collection of Behance users in one place. What are your rates, what do you charge for logo design? Seemingly harmless in itself and frankly on the surface a fair enough question. But lets open this up a little more. I have stopped giving out hourly or fixed rates for logo projects, except for a budget logo package which ultimately is only suitable for website header graphics etc.

From my Logo Portfolio - JoomlaBamboo Logo Design Process | ImJustCreative | Logo & Brand Identity Designer & Photographer
A relatively simple brief for this logo project. Right from the beginning I was able to get a handle on what the client wanted pretty instinctively. The logo is for a website, specializing in minimal Jooomla templates, so the 'minimal' bit was a pretty good clue. It was one of those jobs where the client could of not given me any brief at all, but just pointed me to some previous site designs and said go for it.

Fonts & Typefaces - Reasons Why I Purchase Commercial Fonts | ImJustCreative | Logo & Brand Identity Designer & Photographer
For me, fonts/typefaces are the most important part of what I do, the most crucial ingredient. The fonts from structure, they are the framework, they set the mood and they go along way to speak the message. Logo Design Tips - Avoid getting Intimidated | ImJustCreative | Logo & Brand Identity Designer & Photographer
In my previous Logo Design Tips post, in the introduction, I touched on the likley issues with comparing your designs to those displayed in the many logo design galleries on the net. I think this point is worthy of some further reflection as I feel it can be quite disheartning for newer logo designers to get motivated when faced with these other ideas and designs.
