Students, particularly angered over the 50 percent cut to the sports programs, gathered at the high school and walked to the district offices carrying hastily prepared protest signs.
Ultimately, the students were invited to meet with school officials to discuss the possibility of initiating a ballot issue to raise funds for the sports program.
