URL: http://www.bakersfield.com/mobile As part of its content partnership with the Condors, Bakersfield's popular local minor-league hockey team, Bakersfield.com has taken SMS programming to a new level. During Condors games, the site delivers game summaries at the end of each period, with scores and information about which players score. The SMS alerts are then repurposed into an RSS feed fans can find on the site. Fans can vote for the player of the game at the end of each match. Second Place: Northwest Herald, Crystal Lake, Ill.
