    • "c:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" is not in my Vista's default path that I can't simply run firefox. But strange !!!! "start firefox.exe" really works !!!!!

Aardvark Firefox Extension

V2.96 does not work. Use v2.9.

  • 先 uninstall Firefox 2.0.0.6 ，把所有 mozilla folder


    "C:\Documents and Settings\your_name\Application Data\Mozilla"


    殺乾淨，重灌 Firefox 2.0.0.6 ，再裝 slogger 就好了。





    什麼 slogger 設定都別改，逛幾個網站後，即可在


    "C:\Documents and Settings\_your_name_\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\_random_.default\slogger\archive\data"


    裡找到完整的 local copy of what you have just visited.


    強！！正是我要找的東西，用來與 google desktop search 結合，找東西、做 research ... 非常有力
  • 作者 Ken Schutte 把 slogger 做得很開放，讓 user 自己調。甚至還留了些 bug 讓你自己解 .... 這樣「未成熟的好東西」實在是最棒不過的了！ 閒話表過，要點如下：





    1. 原 profile 整個 folder 先 backup 下來再開始玩。


    2. 原 profile 裡 $millisecond 要拿掉。太小，會造成誤差，所以 link 不到已經 cache 下來在 archive\data\ 裡的網頁。


    3. gmail 不能 cache, 不work。濾掉的方法是


    "$url".match(/mail.google.com/)


    4. 有網友教人家在 filename 前加上 $title 取易於辨認之效。


    餿主意！一堆網頁的 title 有怪碼，造成 filename 無效。


    5. 有些網頁的 title 夾有外文（e.g. 中文）造成 'View today's XML log file' 出 error 。 自己用 text editor 去把 slogger\archive\slogggerLog-date-time.xml 檔裡的亂碼剔除即可。將就將就照用。


    6. 可到 Ken 的網頁去翻老 user 的 mailing list 舊檔深入研究，


    可以藉此玩到相當深入的東西。Ken 的 source code 也是公


    開的，可惜我還不知道 XPI 檔要怎麼玩？

  • If you right-click on the Firefox toolbar,

    and select "Customize...", you can find the six

    buttons associated with slogger. You can drag any number

    of these to the toolbar to use and set to

    perform certain actions.
