Brilliant news story about Propsero, the only British built satellite launched on a British space launch vehicle.
Just looking at the photos shows what separates Soviet (and now Russian) space technology from NASA's and ESA's equivalents - no frills. Less bells and whistles means less to go wrong, although that doesn't make them infallible.
Makes you think. I particularly enjoy hearing about the Pioneer (and Voyager) missions - they have been around for much the same time as me.
