Rather excellent restaurants. We had lunch recently in their restaurant on the Rue de Gand, Lille, and it was one of the best meals I've had for a long time.
Splendidly old-fashioned place to stay (don't expect wi-fi or a telephone in your room!) with lovely gardens and park. Having sat in the kitchen, I can confirm that Régis is the Jam Master and makes excellent melon jam.
Restaurant in Tiercé. Locally famous after Nicolas Sarkozy had dinner there. Now even more famous after we had dinner there.

A cheese for amateurs? Pah! I think this is great for true lovers of mild creamy cheeses, with a delicious creamy texture and flavour. Who says you can't be a connoisseur of mild creamy cheeses? There are lots of subtleties to explore.
Rather expensive but rather good Italian in St Germain des Pres, Paris. Famous for pizza, the fish dishes impressed us.
Brewery near Rouen with chambres d'hote. Mmmmm - beer and accommodation in the same building. This sounds like a good combination.
