WikiBlogging (new approach, Nov. 2006)is a method to take a snapshot of a complete wikipage in its HTML format and forward it to a BlogService.









Benefits:





• an additional backup of a frozen wikipage, but with a backlink to the original living wiki page
  
• an (author selected) history of single wikipages
  
• each wiki author takes more care for the page and gives it exposure to a wider public
  
• embedding wikis in the blogosphere gives new infrastructure (e.g. better search/notification possibilities )
  
• fostering WikiWeaving via blogging
  
• cultivating BidirectionalLinks
  
• inviting constructive linkfriendly peers in the blogosphere
  
• filtering wiki content via different wikis by single authors ViewPoints
  
• ...
  
• The author suggests a WikiPragma? (that even could evolve into a button) with many functions: ThisWikiPageBlogsTo?.
  
• Using Google:WikiBlogging the author found

The old approach imbedded a blog into a wiki, whereas the new approach, embeds wiki into an external blog. Complete wikipage snapshots become blog posts.
