- More Americans have died of gun-related deaths since President John F. Kennedy was assassinated than in all the wars of the last century.
- I hope Congress doesn't harm the most important industry for growth in the United States by acting against p2p. But if it does, I don't see how it can, in all honesty, avoid doing the same with regard to firearms.

Free is overrated as a destiny. It is only the second phase of the three stages of copydom. The first phase -- perfection -- is experienced in both analog and digital. Perfect duplication made the modern world and modern music.
The second stage is freeness. Costless duplication made Napster possible and a music revolution thinkable.
Yet it is in the third level of digital copy-ness that the real revolution lies. This third power is liquidity, and it will take music beyond Napster.

  I think the best tool for the “post e-mail era” is undoubtedly Diigo, which allows you to share sites you’ve bookmarked, with passages you find significant highlighted, and your own notes. You can also forward a link, with highlights and notes, to others by e-mail, if you prefer, or you can post all this information to your blog. And those are just the key points of what their integrated tools can help you do.
