It started two years ago as a bare-bones service, offering little more than the ability to post 140-character messages. Then, it outsourced its idea generation to its users. The company watches how people use the service and which ideas catch on. Then its engineers turn the ideas into new features.

The photo-sharing site Flickr started as a small part of a big online game. When the founders realized that the photo-sharing feature was more popular than the game, they scrapped the game and built Flickr. Open-source software companies leave innovation up to users, and companies like Bug Labs let people build their own hardware.

قام ضباط الشرطة بمجاملة رجل الاعمال ذي النفوذ الكبير فألقوا القبض على ناشط الانترنت ، وصادورا جهاز الكمبيوتر الخاص به ، واحتجزوه لنحو عشرة ساعات ، بتهمة السب والقذف ، وهو احتجاز غير قانوني ، انتقاما من ناشط الانترنت الذي بدلا من إعتباره مبلغ عن جريمة "إعتداء على ملكية فكرية" أصبح متهما !.

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is a global not-for-profit group that, with oversight from countries around the world, is responsible for laying out many of the rules of the road that govern internet use in our world.

The group was started in 1998 largely as a US entity. But a joint project agreement in 2006 spread governance of the organization to countries around the world.
