Nora gave her then the whole management line of: There is no editorial differences between the Arabic and English Editions... which is of course BS.

Yes, it was news report, but since she mentioned "facts" that went against the editorial line of "there is a massacre" that happened in Khartoum, it was refused. And her eyewitness account was refused too by both the paper and the Arabic site.

Salma el-Wardani's testimony re what happened in Sudan, negating the alleged "massacre" the Egyptian govt and media was claiming to have happened on the hands of the Algerian fans. The testimony was refused by both the Arabic paper and the website, and we decided to publish it in the English Edition despite pressures from the management.
Salma el-Wardani resigned shortly after.
