  • فى الوقت الذى تخوض فيه مصر معركة طاحنة مع دول حوض النيل للحفاظ على حصتها من المياه، نجد أن ذلك لم يؤثر على وزارتى الزراعة والرى لإعادة تسعير المياه التى يحصل عليها أحد أشهر المستثمرين، مع إيقاف التنفيذ، فى توشكى، وهو الوليد بن طلال، الذى يحصل على المياه حسب العقد الذى أبرمته معه وزارة الزراعة، بـ4 قروش لأول 5 آلاف متر مكعب لكل فدان، و5 قروش لـ1000 متر مكعب التالية لكل فدان، والأمتار المكعبة التالية لكل فدان 6 قروش.
