  • is: Searches for messages with a certain status - for example, is: unread will find all unread messages. Allowable values are "unread", "read", "flagged", "unflagged", "sent", "draft", "received", "replied", "unreplied", "forwarded", unforwarded", "anywhere", "remote" (in a shared folder), "local", "sent", "invite", "solo" (no other messages in conversation), "tome", "fromme", "ccme", "tofromme". "fromccme", "tofromccme" (to, from cc me, including my aliases)

      • Setting all accounts to maintenance mode (set the domain's status).
      • Shutting down Zimbra.
      • Renaming /opt/zimbra/index/0 to /opt/zimbra/index/0-back or something
      • Starting Zimbra and re-indexing all accounts.
      This should recreate the index from scratch for all accounts.


       Also convertd is a NE only feature for converting attachments to HTML, you should remove that entry from your configuration.

    To find the mailbox size for user@domain.com 

     
    zmmailbox -z -m user@domain.com gms 

  • su - zimbra
     cd /opt/zimbra/bin

     EDIT zmsaslauthdctl

     CHANGE:
     ${zimbra_home}/cyrus-sasl-2.1.21.ZIMBRA/sbin/saslauthd -a zimbra
     TO:
     ${zimbra_home}/cyrus-sasl-2.1.21.ZIMBRA/sbin/saslauthd -r -a zimbra

     (Basically add a -r to keep the domain)


     Then run /opt/zimbra/bin/zmsaslauthdctl restart

  • can you ping localhost or 127.0.0.1?
     If you can't ping that, mysql can't start

  • According to the webinars I've participated in this year, the Documents tab is being deprecated in 6.x/7.x and will be removed completely in 8.x.

  • upgrade of Zimbra 5.0.5 to 5.0.8 after doing the above - and all of the relay smtp auth changes stayed - they were not wiped out by the upgrade.
