  • When you try to print to your redirected printer, your print job may print out on another user's local printer. Also, other user's print jobs may immediately start printing on your local printer when you log on to a new Terminal Services session.

The solution to both problems is to map local printer drivers to
native drivers on the server, by creating a custom ntprintsubs.inf
    file.

  • the group policy setting called “Do not set default client printer to be default printer in a session” could cause this kind of issues. I recommend you to use command-line gpresult on the server side and export the result, check if this setting is enabled for the server. If so, please modify it to be Not Configured.

  • simply download the MiscFixedSC613 font from April King and drop it into c:\windows\fonts.  When you configure PuTTY, remember that this is a 9-point font only.
  • Personally, I prefer the Terminus font in PuTTY. It’s scalable and easy on the eyes. It’s available at http://fractal.csie.org/~eric/wiki/Terminus_font
