Flagfox :: Add-ons for Firefox
"Flagfox is an extension for Mozilla Firefox that shows a flag icon indicating the current website's server location. It uses relatively little resources, and works by accessing an IP address location database contained within the extension rather than relying on top-level-domain roots like ".com" or ".uk". Clicking the icon loads Geotool, which provides a map of the location as well as more detailed information such as the ISP, city, and local time. The context menu also provides quick access to information about the country of origin, as well as the ability to lookup the domain's registrant via Whois.
Uses of Flagfox range from simply educating users about the global nature of the Internet to:
* SEO and web development research
* Indicating the native languages and legal jurisdictions for webservers
* Warning when sites that are not in the country the say they are
* Quickly viewing/copying server IP addresses for diagnostic and other uses
Flagfox is fairly customizable, allowing users to choose between two icon sets with positioning options anywhere in the address or status bar. Advanced users may create their own custom lookup to perform specialized searches for the current server."

ShowIP :: Add-ons for Firefox
Show the IP address(es) of the current page in the status bar. It also allows querying custom services by IP (right mouse button) and hostname (left mouse button), like whois, netcraft. Additionally you can copy the IP address to the clipboard. This extension was formerly known as ipv6ident.
If only the domain name is shown and not the IP address, check the setting of the network.proxy.socks_remote_dns preference. It has to be turned off for proper operation. Alternatively you can try
the version available at http://firefox-showip.googlecode.com/files/showip_0.8.17pre2.xpi where a switch in the preferences dialog has been added to force ShowIP to do DNS look-ups.

Flash Video Resources Downloader :: Add-ons for Firefox
Download videos from Youtube, Google Video, Dailymotion & all the rest of the popular (and many less known) online flash video sites of all kinds.
Like the VideoDownloader extension, but up to date on changing sites & supporting new sites constantly. Sick of using the VideoDownloader extension that is outdated, doesn't work with half the sites it used to & doesn't work with ANY of the new sites? This extension keeps up to date on video sites when they make updates to stop from being downloaded and is constantly adding new sites. It just adds a small icon to the status bar of your Firefox browser. Just click it to download the video you are watching!

Perspectives : Firefox Extension
Perspectives extension contacts network notaries whenever your browser connects an HTTPS website.\n\nThe extension provides two primary benefits:\n\n 1. If you connect to a website with an untrusted (e.g.,self-signed certificate)*, Firefox will give you a very nasty security error and force you to manually install an exception. Perspectives can detect whether a self-signed certificate is valid, and automatically overrides the annoying security error page if it is safe to do so.\n 2. It is possible that an attacker may trick one of the many Certificate Authorities trusted by Firefox into incorrectly issuing a certificate for a trusted website. Perspectives can also detect this attack and will warn you if things look suspicious.

SmarterFox: Browse Faster :: Firefox Add-ons
Browse faster by speeding up common tasks such as searching Wikipedia, searching Google, visiting your bookmarks, copy & paste, and more.
* Adds "related articles" side-pane to Wikipedia
* Search by selecting/highlighting text and then clicking on the popup search bubble
* Google results automatically show up in the Awesomebar/URL bar as you type so that you don't have to click though Google first
* Convert text URLs into clickable links
* Automatically copy on select or paste on right click (NOT enabled by default)
* Visit bookmarks quickly with keyboard shortcuts using qLauncher
If you don't like any of the above features, you can disable it by going to: Tools -> Smarter Fox
To invoke the qLauncher press Ctrl-Space. If you are using a Mac or Ubiquity, you might need to change the shortcut since Ctrl-Space might already be in use. (Do so by going to Tools -> Smarter Fox). After the qLauncher panel is open simply press the hot key next to the site to open it.
qLauncher's settings integrate right into Firefox's bookmark system so it will be backed up alongside your other bookmarks if you use something like Xmarks. The bookmarks for qLauncher are included in the folder named "qLauncher" on your bookmarks bar. To add a bookmark to qLauncher simply copy it into the folder by dragging and dropping it there. To assign a shortcut key, tag the bookmark with "qlauncher:k" where k is the key you want to use. You do not have to do this however: qLauncher can pick one for you automatically. If you find the bookmark folder obtrusive you can either drag it to the end of your bookmarks toolbar or disable the qLauncher and delete it.
