ASUS Eee PC T91 Tablet
Two years ago ASUS has introduced for the first time the concept of netbook and since then it is known to experiment with every innovative designs. This time it has done it again presenting the Eee PC T91 convertible netbook at a $499 price. The compact design of a small 8.9” x 6.5”x 1.1” display shows a resistive touch screen and makes the navigation very attractive by touching it with only one finger. It is also lighter with its 2.0 pounds weight that adds an extra 0.6 pounds when handled with its adapter.
Lenovo IdeaPad S12
At the beginning what was there known to be the mark that defined a netbook was the 7” screen, but nowadays this feature has evolved into a 10” screen one, becoming the current industry standard. The new release of Lenovo’s netbook series, IdeaPad S12 takes the further steps in the next generation of netbooks. The new model’s design fits in the same features with its predecessors, though the presentation seems to be more appealing in that it is larger in size.
Toshiba’s Netbook NB200 10Z Test
Toshiba’s new release has come with five configurations: the £300 NB200-10G, the £325 NB200-11L, and the £350 NB200-11H, NB200-10Z (reviewed here) and NB200-110. In the following we try to see if it lifts itself up to the expectations of such a price.Considering firstly the design we can describe it as being much better looking than its predecessor NB100 with its slim line, only 25mm thickness with a copper-colored finish on the lid, the inside being stylish in presenting a silver keyboard and wrist rest.
IE8 Comes With a Compatibility Mode
While interviewed Ian Moulster, Senior Product Manager for Microsoft UK, has given details about what developers need to know on IE8 which through its launching generated confusion and controversy. Once developed, a site will render fine in IE8 for after that all the standards-compliant websites to be rendered correctly. When it comes to compatibility view list there are some aspects that need underlined: IE8 has two modes – Standards Mode and IE7 mode that is also known as Compatibility Mode that enables all the users who subscribe to the list to access the site that had previously some issues with Standards Mode. Sony’s Vaio W
With the release of Sony’s Vaio P series earlier this year, customers were taken by surprise with the so-called premium price-tag and the slow boot-up of the device presented by the critics. But meanwhile the Japanese company has revealed that they plan to release late this autumn another version of ultraportable computer Vaio P that’s called “mark 2”. No details are currently available beside the fact that it will present a faster boot-up time, but a review of Sony’s first proper netbook, the Vaio W was made in order to have some knowledge on the new products series of the Japanese computing company, so we are entitled to say that Sony’s Vaio W is preparing the ground for Vaio P 'mark 2' to be released in October.
Dell Inspiron 15” Got Tested
The performances of Dell’s Inspiron 15” show it to be a notebook close to most of all-purpose laptops available on the market. The design even if it’s basic presents on the inside components having a glossy piano-black touch, whereas the keyboard has a matte feel displayed on a large width with its silent keys cozy while typing. The touchpad measures 1.8 x 3.0 inches and is as matte as the keyboard.

The ad regarding the Comapq Mini 1040DX netbook sounds very promising so long as you activate it with Verizon and AT&T services for a $199.99 price to be paid on a 2 years contract terms, or even better for only $0.99 a 2 years contract service with Sprint, otherwise it will cost you $389.99 on a non-contract basis.
Free Antivirus Versions
Last days, David Hall, the product manager of Symantec Asia-Pacific Consumer Products and Solutions, has declared in an interview that the free versions of antivirus software (one of which being Microsoft’s Microsoft Security Essentials) do not lift up to the full-price suites offered by Symantec. The offer presented by Microsoft through Microsoft Security Essentials currently in Beta is seen by Hall as a solution that doesn’t complete the protection a user needs in order to keep him away form identity theft. He also described the Microsoft’s new free product as a remake of an old Microsoft’s OneCare product.
Rogers Wireless cuts prices of HTC Dream, HTC Magic to $99.99
Despite being released in Canada only recently, Rogers Wireless has announced that they will be lowering the prices of both the HTC Dream and HTC Magic to $99.99.Of course, you’ll have to opt for a 3-year contract before you get the lowered price but $99.99 for an Android phone? Count me in.

The new features of Dell Latitude E6400 XFR 14” turn the new model into a compact case totally dust protected and weatherproofed presenting covering for all external ports, with rubber bumpers and a built-in handle for transporting it. Less Energy Costs With IBM Power6-based Power 550
IBM has announced its SAP performance on a POWER6-based server and the result of a study on its Power Systems that allows customers to save up to 33% on operating costs in an SAP solution-based environment. The IBM Power6-based Power 550 (a server with 4 processors/8 cores – 4 dual-core processor chips) has been proved to handle 3,752 users, a figure that eclipses the results of other vendors, HP, Sun, Hitachi, and Fujitsu, all of them using Intel’s chips.
