Keloid is a raised skin scar tissue, develops on a scar; bright red to blackish in colour, almost covers the whole of scar length and grows beyond the scar margin encroaching the adjacent normal skin.

Doctors and patients both prefer to go for steroid injection at the site and get quick result. But, now it has been seen that the results are not long lasting. Recurrences are more seen in this group. Moreover, second and third sessions may be required.
