I don’t know about you, but it feels like Google launches a new product every time I turn my laptop on.
Buying refurbished electronics can save you some dough, but it can also feel like a game of Russian roulette. In the case of Apple products, Lifehacker alum Rick Broida writes on CNET that it makes sense to choose refurbished every time.
Look at the back of your iPhone, or your iPad, or on the bottom of your Mac. You'll see the following words embossed somewhere: "Designed by Apple in California. Assembled in China."
The NY Times just published an absolutely fascinating piece on Apple and why it builds almost all of its stuff in China. Go read it. Clearly some of our politicians could learn a lot from it.

While Apple may have pulled out of the event, the Expo remains the biggest annual gathering of the Macintosh, iPhone and iPod software and accessory industry. It's a meeting of minds, and we'll see a huge number of Apple fanboys (and girls) in San Francisco next week.
