Microsoft started development on the .NET Framework in the late 1990s, originally under the name of "Next Generation Windows Services" (NGWS).
Recently I saw somebody asked a question in a forum, the question is "Which programming language should I learn first?". Then someone answered this question. His answer:
Microsoft has finally released a new programming language in addition to their current suite of languages including C#, C++ and other .NET languages. Windows 8 will include Internet Explorer 10 among its apps. However, the web browser will be available in two different versions: one will run on the Metro user interface and will not support any plug-in programs, and the other will be the more familiar browser that will run on the desktop UI.
Internet Traffic is now 51% Non-Human
So you thought the Internet was made by and for people? Think again. A study by Incapsula, a provider of cloud-based security for web sites (mind you where this data comes from), concludes that 51% of all Internet traffic is generated by non-human sources such as hacking software, scrapers and automated spam mechanisms. While 20% of the 51% non-human traffic is’ good’, the 31% majority of this non-human traffic is potentially malicious.
Internet Explorer is a browser that is nearly as old as the Internet and the browser is going to be moving on to its 10th iteration here in the near future. Innovation, it seems, is alive and well at Microsoft. In the last few hours, we’ve taken a look at two projects from Microsoft Research – make sure you check out both Illumishare and the Holoflector; now, Microsoft’s Applied Sciences Group has shared a video of another project that combines Kinect technology with a transparent OLED screen, to create a transparent 3D desktop interface.
With the Windows 8 Consumer Preview right around the corner, Apple decided to one-up Microsoft and release a beta of their own OS X Lion out of nowhere today. How's that for an unusual event in February? The folks over at Microsoft News have come up with a pretty cool comparison of the two upcoming OSes.
