In an attempt to unify that variety of high school subjects, Meyers has put together a semester-long multidisciplinary course that requires students to apply the spectrum of their education in a cohesive way. To do it, he picked maybe the most multidisciplinary of focal points: the city.
As educators begin to distance themselves from the traditional textbook there is more and more need to find digital alternatives. We’ve consulted within ALT and more widely and have framed some views on this question, in the form of a response to three questions: • To get the next generation of comp scientists do we need CS in the NC? • Where do we put CS? • Should CS be only for those who are interested or for all?
