For all of the school administrators and/or school policy makers who are hell bent on making sure that resources that can assist in learning remain off the table in their schools, you may need to add to the ever-expanding list of things to which you deny learners access if Google’s latest innovation (see video above) or anything like it hits the market. Then again it really isn’t a matter of when these types of technological advances will become available, it’s really a matter of how soon.

A lot of discussion recently over the pros and cons of BYOD -- Bring Your Own Device. Some folks have been quite adamantly in favor or against.
For all the hub-bub, I think it's worth thinking about devices not just in relation to what kids do with them in the classroom, but rather how they relate to the connection those devices represent for them in the real world.
For example, lets say that you want to post a test, or an assignment for the students in your class, and you want them to complete that task on Wednesday or Thursday. In the past, you would have had to write a post, go back at the specified time and upload the document or task that you wanted to share with your students, and then, when the time expired, you would have to return and delete the time sensitive content.

I'm excited to see this in action. This would appease those who are concerned that the Chromebook requires a continuous internet connection. Could this be a big challenger to Libre Office? Most certainly, it's another thing for Microsoft Office to keep its eyes on.
